Estonia is the first country to offer e-Residency – a transnational digital identity available to anyone in the world interested in establishing and administering a location independent business online. By providing e-Residency, Estonia is unleashing the world’s entrepreneurial potential. E-RESIDENTS CAN: • • • • • • •

These efficient and easy-to-use services have been available to Estonians for over a decade. By offering e-residents the same services, Estonia is pioneering the idea of a country without borders.
*Establishing a bank account currently requires an in-person meeting at the bank. e-Residency does not guarantee a bank account, account opening is at the sole discretion of the banks.
1ST year The Estonian government launched e-Residency on 1 December 2014. This revolutionary program was launched fast and agile and is being constantly improved and expanded. The list of e-services enjoyed by e-residents is growing rapidly and Estonia is looking to expand it further through cooperation with thirdparty partners who want to develop their own services and applications using the e-Residency open ID platform. Early examples of third-party partnerships are those with NASDAQ, Fundwise, Funderbeam, Teleport, and eResNetwork.
