supporting easa EASA LINKS 2015 will be an event of unprecedented scale within the Maltese design community. EASA LINKS 2015 is setting out to be bigger and further reaching than any previous assembly. Interest in the event is already high, with support coming in from a cross-section of industries. As EASA is an entire event planned and carried out primarily by students for students, the role of sponsorships is a key factor in the success of the event. Potential sponsorship through monetary, material, or the sponsoring of specific events or workshops means that your company will have a very real input into the assembly - with your support having a far reaching contribution. Furthermore it allows us to associate well defined elements of the assembly with specific sponsors, enabling us to represent your company/organisation in the form of advertisement opportunities, product placement, demonstrations, reports and exhibitions. This document illustrates possible ways in which a company, institution or individual can support our assembly, and in turn how our event can showcase your company or product in an international arena set within the historic capital city of Valletta at the 35th European Architecture Students Assembly.

Marketing campaign [MARKETING STRATEGY] The EASA network has been established for 34 years, and is a well-known and respected event within the European architectural community, with participants, tutors and helpers coming from over 50 countries. The primary aim of our marketing campaign is to create a large reach that goes further than promoting the event itself but also those who support it, both locally and overseas. Our strategy will vary between the stages preceding, during, and after the event. In the months preceding the assembly in July/ August, it will be centred mostly around our digital reach through our facebook page, our website, blog and e-mails, as well as during any events leading up to the assembly and any printed material. During the event itself our strategy will shift from a digital medium to a more face-to-face approach
by means of banners, advertisement in the welcome packs, distribution of promotional material and merchandise, as well as the opportunity to hold product demonstrations or presentations on-site. Our main off-site venue, Piazza Teatru Rjal, will be the base for our public lecture series. Here, sponsors will have the opportunity to sponsor a lecture, distribute promotional material to a large local audience as well as set up advertising banners, which will be exposed to the general public throughout the lecture. After the event the strategy will remain predominantly face-to-face or through printed materials, such as that during the public open day, final exhibitions, final presentations and the publication of the final report.

[MEDIA PRESENCE] From the start of the project in October 2013 we have pushed to extend our presence through the local media, including TV programmes, local newspapers and magazines. Up to this moment we have made an appearance on a local morning talk show (TVam), on the local news (TVM), as well as featuring on the Times of Malta and Insite online. We aim to continue this exposure throughout 2014/2015 by means of press-releases and continued collaboration with local media channels. During the event itself the media will be invited specifically for the Opening and Closing of the assembly, along with our supporters, including the Ministry of Justice, Culture and Local Government, and the Valletta 2018 Foundation.

[SPONSOR EXPOSURE] Besides the constant stream of media exposure before, after and during the assembly, there will be several other ways in which we can promote our sponsors. As can be seen in the Sponsor Packages section, there will be a multitude of options ranging from brochures and small merchandise placed in the participant’s welcome pack; to adverts within the participant pack and reports; presentations and demonstrations; as well as large banner advertising around selected areas of the site and at satellite venues such as Pjazza Teatru Rjal in the centre of Valletta. Interested organisations may also opt to sponsor a selection of other events that will be taking place, which will include a design competition, lectures, excursions, as well as exhibitions that will follow the assembly.
