DECISION DAY! Yesterdays was the presentation of this years 27 amazng workshops. Seeing as there was a record number of over 120 applications this year we can only imagine how difficult it was to select the winners. Thankfully the organisers seem to have selected a great range of workshops. From theory based ones – 3 little pigs, media based ones – EASA TV, composite workshops with a mix of theory and construction – Avanzada to just straight up construction with Orgadiz. This amazing mix has left alot of the participants stumped as to what workshop to select. So keeping this in mind here is some advice on choosing the right workshop. Ask yourself a list of questions before chooseing your workshop, such as:
• Do I want to work with tools or a computer? • Do I want to work inside or outside? • Do I want to be busy or relaxed? • Do you want to work in a group or alone?

Only sign up for 1 workshop! The workshop fair works in rounds. Every workshop will have a quota of participant to fill. If the workshop is very popular and has too many applicants the tutors will select their prefered participants for the places. Then the rejected (sniff) participants will be put on a list and can reselect from a list of workshops with remaining places. This system of rounds continues until everyone has a workshop. ADVICE If you really want to join a certain workshop just make sure that you talk to the tutors at the stand, ask them questions and let them know you are really interested and motivated. This will really improve your chances of being selected as tutors will be looking for enthusiastic particiants who are going to work hard.
FREE VECTOR So after asking your self these important questions you should be able to make a top 3 list of your favourite workshops. Still unsure? G o to that worshop's stand at the fair and ask them questions that will help you make your decision, • What exactly will you be doing? • What is the workshop process and how will it work? • How many hours will you be working a day? Following your successful selection oft he workshop you should ask to sign up.
