Locally grown and hand-made items, on sale weekly at Re-Criativa Republica 14, Olhão

It's a Wednesday morning in Olhão, the sun is out, people are busy and there is that distinct feel of a bustling city. We make our way towards the market, a market different from the one down by the Ria front. Away from the chaos, the shoulder to shoulder throngs of people moving as a collective up and down aisles, today, we traded this charming experience for one behind the doors of Re-Criativa, an oasis of peace, calm, space and stalls filled with goods awaits us in the quaint courtyard tucked away in rear of the building. We find an abundance of locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs, unique handicrafts, delicious cakes, chocolates and sweet treats as well as samosas and other delicacies, handmade soaps, honeys, olive oils, vegan salami, chorizo and much much more. Lucky us, we were able to buy tasty hand-made birthday treats to surprise a special friend. This market with its organic, local and genuinely special goods is open each Wednesday from 10:00 - 14:00.
