There was plenty of action on and off the race track during the Andrew Sportoff Weekend June 29, 30, and July 1. A demolition derby, slo-pitch tournament, ball hockey tournament, pancake breakfasts, show ‘n shine, parade, dance, and multitude of children’s activities and games. The weather was ideal for the funfilled weekend, and temperatures averaged around the 28 degree celsius mark. The annual event, sponsored by the Andrew Agricultural Society, was very well attended and hats off to the volunteers who worked so hard to make it so successful. Proceeds from the fundraiser go directly back into the community to benefit Andrew and area residents.
Mundare Library celebrates grand reopening
Brittney and Ainsley Lopushinsky performed some of their Ukrainian music for the grand opening, while guests enjoyed a few refreshments and kids got to make butterflies or colour at Mundare’s Municipal Library grand opening held on Sunday afternoon.
