People from all over came out for the Andrew Annual Garlic Festival. The trade show is one of the greatest draws with many different fresh fruits and vegetables for people to purchase. As well as some great crafts and home decor items like folk art on milk jugs or saw blades. As well as some specialty items like knitted scarfs, dish cloths and jewelry.

Andrew hosted their annual Garlic Festival this past Saturday. They had a day full of events for people of all ages. The day started off with a pancake breakfast on main street, followed by activities throughout the day at the Andrew Community Centre. There was the trade show that featured roughly 40 vendors with everything from fruits and vegetables, meats, pickles, crafts and home decor, and of course garlic.
There was also the fall theme centre piece contest for three different ages, that people could enter. As well as entertainment on the main stage throughout the day, that featured fiddle players, dancers and singers. They also had more activities this year for the kids. They put on a scavenger hunt, and had a colouring contest, ballon animals and hay rides. There were all forms of garlic for people to see and purchase or try, including regular, elephant garlic, and purple garlic. Then there was the perogy lunch, or the option of beef on a bun. The day’s festivities closed off with a dance Saturday evening.
