Touch is a basic biological need. The sun touches your skin and leaves you a toasted memory, your dog’s fur tickles you each time he fidgets in the shared hammock, the lake water jars the summer heat like a tall drink of water. Years down the road what you recall in clearest, overwhelming detail is the car leather against bare legs during that long, night drive. Sometimes, touch isn’t tangible; people and happenings touch us in a myriad of ways and leave their marks on our lives—whether they be scars or love bites. Show or tell us about something or someone that touched you at any time in your life (or maybe someone you want to touch). Embrace that East Coast summer.
