H
ave you ever wondered how technology could improve your work experience? That’s exactly what Andy DePalma, Director of EASTCONN’s Technology Solutions Division, hopes you’re considering.
The Technology Solutions Application and Product Development Team creates solutions that ensure that districts and organizations keep pace with the growing demand for technology.
CT DOTS (Documentation & Observation for Teaching System) Online, powered by eObserve.org offers early childhood professionals a web-based method of observing children, tracking notes and evaluating skills. Before the program, this work produced mounds of paper and took hours to process. CT DOTS Online eliminates the paper and streamlines the workflows. The program is currently used by 12 districts, benefitting over 2,000 students, and word is spreading. Partnering with CES, we are launching in Fairfield districts, with more coming onboard in January. TEAM (Teacher Education and Mentoring Program). EASTCONN and the RESC Alliance have partnered to support TEAM, the state-mandated Beginning Teacher/ Mentorship program. Our Solutions Team has developed an application that tracks the progress of new teachers as they navigate through this program. It currently serves more than 175 public and private schools.
“Let us be a partner in delivering the highest quality solutions to your district, organization or community.”
Let’s meet the team: Paul Colella manages programming and development; Kerin Griffin oversees marketing, customer relationships, website and user-interface training; Nancy Jagaczewski handles departmental support and customer billing, and Michael Mahony manages customer support and application development. You may see them out in EASTCONN districts – taking video footage, implementing new classroom technologies, or presenting a Lunch ‘n’ Learn seminar. But the team also develops specialty software applications based on classroom and district needs, such as the software application for Connecticut Teacher of the Year and software for the Windham Barrows School student lottery. “Our application development team includes both practiced
Though web application development is offered as a service to our districts, DePalma and his team are also looking for ways to improve our own daily work. DePalma added, “Let us be a partner in delivering the highest quality solutions to your district, organization or community.” So, give it some thought, and share your ideas with the Technology Solutions Team.
