B. INSIDE LOOK: 3+2 Programs = Student Success

Eastern Kentucky University currently offers undergraduate students the opportunity to complete nine (9) graduate hours that will count towards their undergraduate degree requirement. Our 3+2 programs are geared to accelerate the student’s graduate degree completion rate while allowing students to receive the undergraduate tuition rate for the graduate courses.

To be eligible, the student must be a junior or senior in standing, have a cumulative 3.0 undergraduate GPA and be enrolled in one of the following programs:

1. B.A. in English 2. B.A. in History 3. B.A. in Political Science 4. B.S. in Chemistry 5. B.S. in Cyber Systems Technology 6. B.S. in Engineering Technology Management 7. B.S. in Forensic Science 8. B.S. in Network Security & Electronics 9. B.S. in Public Health 10. B.S. in Recreation & Park Administration

3+2 enrollment forms must be completed by the student and their undergraduate advisor. The form needs the approval of the graduate program advisor, department chair and the Graduate School. No change of major form is required! Click here to access the 3+2 enrollment form. The approval process is slated to move to an electronic format during the Fall 2021 semester.

For students to remain eligible, they must maintain a 3.0 GPA in both their undergraduate and graduate programs and the Graduate School will review their status at the end of each term.

If you feel your students may benefit from a 3+2 program, the Graduate School is prepared to assist you with planning and implementation. Please reach out to Dr. Ryan Baggett or Holly Argo for more information.
