L. EKU Graduate Student Spotlight – Mr. Caleb Johnson

Caleb Johnson is enrolled in the Master of Science

in Athletic Training program and plans to graduate in May 2022. Caleb obtained his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky in Spring 2020. During his undergraduate studies, Caleb gained valuable experience by working with campus recreation at University of Kentucky. His career aspirations upon completing the Athletic Training program include to work for a high-level basketball Collegiate Division l or ll team or even a professional basketball team within the National Basketball Association.

When Caleb was asked what he likes most about the Athletic Training program and why he chose EKU, Caleb responded “The Athletic Training program at EKU is great for me because of the respect they treat the students. They remind us that in two years we can possibly be their colleagues/work partners and treat us as such. The faculty/staff care about the student’s learning but also care about their well-being.” He would also like to recognize Dr. Aaron Sciascia and Dr. Matthew Sabin as they have been most helpful to him throughout the program. In his free time, Caleb enjoys weightlifting, watching/playing basketball, and video games.
