2015 – 2016 Kid’s Day Out Information

Welcome

We are delighted to welcome your child to our Kid’s Day Out program, a great place for all the little “extras.” Extra time for busy moms to rest or run needed errands without active children. Extra fun and activities for kids to thrive in a learning environment that is both energetic and nurturing. We offer quality care and teaching, with a balance of active and quiet play, crafts, recreation, stories, songs and listening times appropriate for each age level. We allow plenty of time for snacks and lunch, with quiet time following lunch.

I’m not sure who benefits most from Kid’s Day Out: me or my children. I gain a few, precious hours of freedom to recharge and reorganize so I can be at my best for my family. My kids have so much fun learning. We’re amazed by how much they stretch socially and developmentally as a result of this time. — Mother of two Kid’s Day Out children

SESSION INFORMATION Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. For children ages 3 months through 4 years Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. For children ages 3 months through 4 years Kid’s Day Out meets September through May, with weeks off for fall break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break and Easter. We offer our Kid’s Day Out program on two different days to accommodate your family’s schedule. Because we are not licensed for day care at Eastminster, you may enroll your child in only one session per week. Monthly fee structure: One child — $65 Two children — $120 Three children — $175

The fee must be paid in full each month to ensure active enrollment. If we have not received your payment by the 15th of the month, a $10 late fee will be assessed. If we cancel Kid’s Day Out due to weather, we will reduce your next month’s fee. There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $50 per child for the fall Kid’s Day Out session. This fee is due with the enrollment form; once received, it guarantees your child’s spot.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Please send all items necessary for your child, including diapers, bottles, pacifiers and extra clothing. All items, including diapers, must be marked with your child’s name! Please send a nutritious, easily prepared (and easily eaten) lunch and drink for your child. Please keep in mind that a refrigerator and microwave are available only in the nursery. Please carefully read the Food Policy in this brochure! Please pick up your child promptly at 1 p.m.! To ensure the well being and security of your children, we strictly enforce this policy. You will be assessed a fee of $5 for the first 15 minutes you are late and $1 for every minute thereafter. The fee will be added to your monthly charge.

FOOD POLICY

We are encountering an increasing number of children (and adults) with peanut allergies and have discovered how dangerous these allergies can be. The Children’s Ministries department of Eastminster Presbyterian Church has therefore adopted a “NO PEANUT” policy for our children’s programs. We do not serve peanut butter or anything with any peanut or nut products in it to our children while at Eastminster. In support of this policy, we are asking you to refrain from sending any foods with peanuts or nuts of any kind in them in your child’s lunch. This includes most chocolate candies like M&M’s. Please carefully read ingredient lists on packages to help us keep our little ones safe. We also ask that the food you send in your child’s lunch be something they can easily handle themselves. Please cut food into small, bite-size pieces.
