Dear ETSU Friends,

There are some announcements you spend years anticipating. From the moment we began planning for the Martin Center for the Arts nearly 10 years ago, our dream was to bring Broadway shows to the Appalachian Highlands. Through the generosity and vision of so many people, the Martin Center has become a reality, and now the curtain is rising on our inaugural Broadway season.

Letter from Dr. Noland

All of this is a reminder to never stop dreaming. We look forward to seeing you at our shows. Thank you for being part of the ETSU story. Thank you for your support,

Dear Patrons,

The ETSU Martin Center for the Arts is excited to celebrate the arrival of Broadway for the first time in the Appalachian Highlands. Four highly acclaimed shows will kick-off what promises to be one of our most exciting series at the center.

Soon a stage manager will call “places” as the cast members from our first Broadway show step onto stage awaiting their first cue. For more than 100 years, ETSU has transformed the arts in the region, and with the opening of the Martin Center, a new act begins.

Letter from Jen Clements

Become a part of our inaugural Broadway Season by purchasing your season tickets today. We look forward to seeing you at the ETSU Martin Center for the Arts!

ONE OF THE BEST FAMILY MUSICALS EVER PENNED!”

- CHICAGO TRIBUNE JANUARY 25 & 26

Holding onto hope when times are tough can take an awful lot of determination, and sometimes, an awful lot of determination comes in a surprisingly small package. Little Orphan ANNIE has reminded generations of theatergoers that sunshine is always right around the corner, and now the best-loved musical of all time is set to return in a new production – just as you remember and just when we need it most.

ANNIE, directed by Jenn Thompson, features the iconic book and score, written by Tony Award®-winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin. This celebration of family, optimism and the American spirit remains the ultimate cure for all the hard knocks life throws your way.
