SERVE. LEAD. IMPACT.

At Gatton, you will be a proud member of ETSU Health, our leading academic health sciences center that encompasses five colleges, and you will serve on an interprofessional team starting your first year. In fact, you’re in the heart of health care for the Appalachian Highlands, located within a half-mile radius of Johnson City Medical Center (445-bed Top 100 Heart Hospital with a level 1 trauma center), Niswonger Children’s Hospital, Quillen College of Medicine, and Mountain Home VA Medical Center.

As a private college situated within a public university, you get the best of both worlds: a college-wide open-door approach to education and administration that fosters a welcoming and nurturing culture, as well as premier research facilities and nationally recognized faculty and student organizations. Small class sizes and one-on-one interaction with faculty mentors contribute to a tight-knit community focused on learning. Our success is proven by high student satisfaction rates from graduates.

The college’s restored 100-year-old building was originally constructed to help injured soldiers heal after the Civil War.
