About Clemmer College

ETSU’s College of Education, Human Services, Exercise, and Sport Teacher candidates spend an entire year as student teachers before graduating.

ETSU’s Center of Excellence in Early Childhood Learning and Development was one of the first centers of excellence established in the state. Clemmer College graduates are working around the country for professional sports teams, the Smithsonian Institution, and even

Yellowstone National Park.

Two of our undergraduate students recently won

student research presentation awards at an international special education conference, competing against doctoral students from notable institutions across the country.

Our faculty includes internationally known researchers and awardwinning professors.

100% of our graduate and undergraduate initial license special education students passed the edTPA teacher license exam in spring 2020. All have either obtained a special education teaching position or are attending graduate school.

37,331 field hours in practicum and internships recently performed by students in Counseling and Human Services.

Elite athletes are trained at the Center of Excellence for Sport Science and Coach Education.

University School—a primary teaching lab for Clemmer, located on the ETSU campus—is ranked among

the top 10 best high schools in Tennessee by U.S. News & World Report.
