Focused on land use rights and geographic boundaries, surveyors use state-of-the-art satellite and scanning technology, drones, and computers along with expertise in mathematical sciences and legal systems. ETSU’s Bachelor of Science in Surveying and Mapping equips students for rapidly developing technology, such as GPS, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), computerized mapping, robotics, scanning, and wireless communications. The degree is accepted as the educational foundation for the Professional Surveying License throughout the United States.
