It is our pleasure to present to you the 6th Annual Cason’s Pride and Joy Maternally Inspired Female Sale. This sale is the result of 44 years of passion in breeding Simmental cattle and anyone that has ever met Denny and his family know their mission is always to add profit to their valued customers.
The groundwork is done on this offering as Denny and Landon have very carefully worked through each mating with the goal for you to have a female that will work for the long haul and each offspring she produces will excel in the future. We are still at a standstill for growth in our national cowherd, now is the time to freshen up your herd with genetic engineered young females as the older females have never been worth more than today for harvested meat.
Customer service is a top priority with this firm, which is no secret to anyone familiar with the Cason team. The old saying of buy good cattle from even better people hits home here and they are here for you for the long haul, continuing to be your partner is making Simmental cattle a leader in the industry.
Guest breeders this year are Clint Cason & Family, Denny and Clint have worked together closely for years-both love Simmental cattle. New addition this year is the Tim Naasz family, this firm also raises outstanding Simmental cattle. They are making the trip from South Dakota and bringing a power packed set of ladies with stellar pedigrees and bred to industry leading calving ease herd sires.

FALL OPEN HEIFERS
We are tremendously excited to be offering the entire top end of our fall 2023 fall heifer crop. This set of fall open females are sired by some top AI sires of the breed, their dams’ pedigrees are also backed by breed leading proven genetics. Our fall herd is of equal quality to our spring herd and are fall calvers by design, this allows us to utilize our facility’ s more efficiently and offer older bulls for our spring bull sale. The fall heifers are broke to tie. These females have been fully vaccinated including pre breeding vaccination wormed poured and ready to breed for fall or spring a breeding program.

SPRING BRED FEMALES
As I reflect back to my early days breeding Simmental cattle (47 years) I’m amazed at where we are today, the impact this breed has made on the overall beef industry today is really astounding. I don’t believe any other breed has made such genetic improvements. The commercial Simmental influenced cattle are arguably the most profitable cattle in the industry , this is a true testament to the breeders, American Simmental Assoc. and commercial cattlemen. We believe this set of bred females are a reflection of where the Simmental breed is today, highly efficient performance cattle that are functional, fertile with longevity. These females were all bred AI bred on natural heats and mated to proven calving ease sires. We selected several different AI sires to mate to these females, in order to enhance the genetic package of each individual’s female. These females have also been fully vaccinated, wormed and poured.

Thank you to the Cason family for graciously allowing us to offer these 10 bred females. We dug deep into the replacement heifer pen to meet the standard set by the Casons of “Maternally Inspired” females. We opted for females that would hit the mark for both phenotype and genotype. All heifers were ultrasounded to the breeding date listed. All are bred to sires excelling in calving ease, including our 2023 top selling bull TSN Statesman, owned by Werning Cattle Company. His first calves arrived this spring and have far exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to put any one of these girls back in our own herd.
