Mitchell, South Dakota
WELCOME TO OUR 2025 SALE!
Thank you for your interest in our program! Upon writing this letter I find myself reflecting on this past year and wow, what a crazy year it has been! First the weather started out exceptionally dry last spring but then we experienced record rainfall in June, resulting in severe flooding, but in true midwest fashion the weather pattern changed by the end of the growing season and we’re desperate for moisture again.
The markets have been just as transmissively crazy, cattle prices have set new records in all phases of the industry with fat cattle surpassing the $2 level. It really is an exciting time to be in the cattle business. In all else, our commitment remains the same, to raise seedstock that works in your operation. It’s very satisfying when another breeder shows interest in our offering but ultimately we strive to create cattle that excel for our commercial customers. We try to make bulls that will sire big, stretchy feeder cattle that will top the market! Calves with growth and carcass traits that will excel in the feedlot and on the rail, and maternally the females need to possess trouble free udders, be easy fleshing, and fertile. All the cattle need to have good feet and disposition because bad temperament and poor feet don’t work in the pasture or the feedlot.
As always, we try to raise all these bulls together in one contemporary group so you get a true “apples to apples” comparison. They have been genomically tested to enhance their EPD’s, and ultra sound data is also collected.
As we did last year, we are offering a select group of heifers and young cows. These are out of the heart of the herd with most being confirmed AI bred. We are confident these will excel for you, we wouldn’t offer them if they wouldn’t.
The cattle business is about relationships. If you are trying to buy or sell cattle, from feeders to bred heifers, we would love to help. Feel free to stop by if you are in the area or give us a call, we would love to hear from you.

This bull is out of Colton’s show cow he showed with much success including Reserve Cow/ Calf pair at Junior Nationals a few years ago in Brookings. This Genesis son has really excelled in post weaning gain, I believe his offspring will as well.
RTZ M122
This guy is a little smaller but give him some grace, he had a tough road to this point. His mother sustained a terminal shoulder injury last spring when her group was riding before AI breeding and then as a result of flooding, he ended up in a pasture with no supplemental feed. He truly was a standout before his mother dried so we intended to keep him for a reserve but he responded to feed so well we decided to offer him in the sale. He will do nothing but continue to get better.
