The 36th Annual Blue River Gang Sale was held on Super Bowl Sunday Feb. 4th at the Ruth Simmental Sale Facility near Rising Sun, NE. The early morning hours prior to the sale were very snowy and blustery but as sale time approached, the snow stopped and the winds calmed a bit but the extreme cold hung around for the rest of the day. Despite the weather, the sale facility was packed with cattle enthusiasts ready to evaluate perhaps the highest quality offering to date from this group of breeders. It takes a lot of dedication and a goal in mind to be able to host 36 years of production sales and hospitality runs deep with the BRG. The breeders making up the BRG team include host firm Ruth Simmental, Makovicka Angus, Mach Simmental, Naber Farms and BADJ Cattle Company.
