Welcome to our 11th Anniversary Sale Event! We welcome you to our 11th annual production sale “The Gathering at Shoal Creek.”

We hope to see old friends and make new ones on the weekend of April the 2nd as we present our best at The Gathering at Shoal Creek! While the cattle are the focus of our industry, it is the people and the relationships formed that are at its heart. We would like to thank all of our past customers for their belief in our program, as well as our guest breeders RS&T Simmentals and Vestlane Farms. They have joined us in Gathering for many years and they continue to bring their best. Every year we strive to assemble a set of cattle and genetics that appeal to producers on many different levels. Whether you are looking for unique breeding pieces, quality replacements, proven cows, your next herd sire, or elite frozen genetics we believe you can find an opportunity for success in this offering. We have always believed in the value of cow families and the standout lots stem from the donors that we are building around. Leading the way is SC Robins Kiss D27, whose progeny continue to work their way to the top. Her daughters by Innovator and Fort Knox lead off the open heifers with an elite pair of donor quality baldy females and her consistent ability to produce continues in the bred heifer division with a stunning SimAngus daughter of Colburn Primo. In her Gathering sale debut, HILB Lost N Love E44G brings an awesome fallborn by Quantum Leap, our first sale feature by Ruby NFF Up the Ante, as well as her natural born Data Breach daughter in the pairs. The influence of the powerful Sandeen Donna 4532 is evident in the Foundation Legacy Lot heifer, a granddaughter by Fort Knox in the pairs, as well as the set of purebred bulls with two direct sons in the offering. Last year’s feature donor, SC Daisy Duke C1 has done it yet again bringing a fancy pair of heifer calves by the popular SAM bull, and backs up her success from last year with two fall bred heifers by Deplorabull. Other special features this year are the red genetics available. One is the full sister to the $100,000 recently syndicated Hard Knox bull that is bred to the promising young red herd sire Sriracha H127. Another is a set of embryos out of our newest red donor HILB/SHER Bliss G749E, sired by the red outcross Sniper, they will guarantee red success! On the subject of embryos, don’t miss the SC Robins Kiss D27 heifer embryos by Innovator and Follow Me! In the bulls we have an extremely powerful 2 year old Exclusive son ready for serious work, one of the best sets of yearling purebreds we have had, and another round of stout fall Red Angus bulls. It is our honor to offer SC Donna 207J as our Foundation Legacy Lot with all proceeds going to the Ronald G. Miller Memorial Scholarship. We were just as stunned as everyone else in the Simmental world to hear of Ronnie’s passing. He was always a true proponent of the breed with a smile on his face everywhere we crossed paths whether it was a snowy day on the sale aisle in Denver, a rainy day at a sale in Missouri, and certainly when he would sit at the ring gate at the American Royal. Ronnie not only knew the cattle, but he knew the people and no one was a stranger, he always made friends wherever his travels took him. When we sorted 207J for the Legacy Lot in honor of Ronnie, we knew she had to be the front end kind that could have just as easily started the catalog as Lot 1. We knew she had to be from a proven line of genetics with the potential to go on to do great things, and we knew she had to be the kind that we think Ronald G. would have liked.

When the first SAM calves started making noise last fall with consistent good looks, I really had high hopes for the fall borns from the mating to SC Daisy Duke C1. They definitely did not disappoint and easily sorted to the top end of the fall ET calves to make the walk through the sale pens. Both of them are so alluring on the profile with their striking look, from the way they tie their neck high off their shoulder, to their attractive silhouette, and bold center rib shape. Not to mention they are soft and flexible at the ground and carry themselves with presence. Females with this amount of style and quality can be tough to find and even more difficult to make.

The day we bought E44G at the Passion for Perfection sale, there were only two lots we bid on. One was Lost N Love E44G herself and the other was the $14,500 high selling open heifer by Quantum Leap out of Crazy N Love. We only brought one home to Shoal Creek, but we made sure to replicate the quality and success of the Quantum Leap x Broker x Babys Breath mating when we made J123. When we got our hands on her and got her clipped, she surely did not disappoint! She’s smooth shouldered, flat necked, and soft at the ground, yet still balances it with added size and growth. I’m sure you’ll see how easy it is to get Lost N Love with J123!

The genetic power behind this female is first class and should not be overlooked. B120 is a full sib to the infamous CMFM Time To Shine now owned by Buck Creek Cattle Company and TMAS Can’t Touch This 8531F is a limited release bull owned by Schaeffer Cattle Company, IN. J012 is a powerhouse purebred female that will not only show, but has the overall power, bone, structural soundness and internal dimension to raise bulls and females for her new owners. The In Dew Time X JJ Black Obsession Family has raised so many champions and has a huge influence on the Simmental breed it is not very often you get the chance to own a family member. Here’s a set of guaranteed red embryos from our newest donor owned with Hilbrands Cattle Co! Bliss was the $40,000 standout redhead at the 2021 Passion For Perfection Sale that we had our sights set on to add a high quality red donor to the mix.
