Roberts Wesleyan Match Notes A Look at the Redhawks: Roberts Wesleyan College con- Pair of Transfers Making an Impact: The Redhawks received cluded their fall season with a 2-1 record, with wins over two transfers for the 2014-15 season from Nebraska Wesleyan Nazareth College and Philadelphia University. Roberts University in Guilherme Plentz de Liz ’17 and Rene Torti ’16. swept Nazareth, 9-0, before downing Philadelphia, 5-4, later Plentz de Liz and Torti were slotted in the fourth and fifth that week. The deciding point in the win over the Rams singles spots, respectively, in the fall season while also being came at the fifth singles spot from Rene Torti ’16. paired together at third doubles where they went 2-1. Out in the Semis: Roberts Wesleyan compiled another strong season last year, going 15-7 overall and earning a bid to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championships. The Redhawks advanced to the semifinals of the NCCAA Championships, but fell in the semifinals for the second time in four years, losing to McMurray University, 5-0.

What’s Next?: Charles Farres ’16 has had a tremendous amount of success in his first two years at Roberts Wesleyan, compiling a 43-7 singles record, including a 31-1 mark at second singles. Farres has taken the reins as the number one singles player for 2014-15, posting a 1-2 record in three fall matches.
