Game Notes Last Time Out: The Purple and Gold are coming off an 88-66 win over Penn College on Monday, February 9. Danielle Cleary ’18 and Alex Balara ’15 led the Soaring Eagles with a combined 53 points in the win. Cleary finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block while Balara posted 25 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, seven steals, and two blocks in the win. Two with 25-Plus: Against Penn College, Danielle Cleary ’18 and Alex Balara ’15 teamed up to accomplish something that hasn’t been done for over 13 years at Elmira College. Cleary and Balara become the first two players to score 25 or more points each in the same game. The closest to it being done in that time was former standouts Jessica Zoltowski ’14 and Maria Thanhauser ’14 who each scored 22 points in a single-game twice in the 2012-13 season.

Double-Doubles: Danielle Cleary ’18 posted her first career double-double against Penn College with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Meghan Loya ’16 also tallied a double-double, the second of her career, with 14 points and 12 rebounds. This is the first time since February 16th, 2013 that two players *Denotes Empire 8 contest have produced a double-double in the same game when Jessica Zoltowski ’14 and Alex Balara ’15 did it against Utica Elmira College Statistical Leaders College.
