FINCA CABALLERO Natural park Hoces de Cabriel, Requena 67 km of Valencia 670-800 meters of altitude The river, representing the border between the Valencian Community and Castile-La Mancha curves the limits of the property.

The wine-growing tradition Utiel-Requena dates from more than 2,000 years. Various archaeological discoveries, go back to the Iberian period, 7th century before J.C., confirm it.
The Clemente Lujรกn family, is the third generation of wine growers to continue the tradition in this zone while having kept the same illusion since the first day. The family reaffirms its faithful engagement in producing wines of excellent quality and Mediterranean character. Valley of vineyards of great landscape value: walnut trees, oaks, riparian trees, typically Mediterranean bushes, vineyards, and rich fauna and flora.
CLIMATE
The climate is continental under the influence of the Mediterranean sea, but the most important factor is the proximity of the river which generates moisture and micro climate, supporting an early ripening of the fruits. TEMPERATURE: min. -6ยบ and max. +31ยบ.

The sun, being reflected on the river and refracting themselves in the valley, represents a qualitative and productive guarantee appropriateness as for phenolic maturity and for the quantity of sugar of the grape.

MODERNITY
CABERNET SAUVIGNON Bunch : small. Berries: spherical, small and hard. Color: average-high intensity. Very bright and intense red like ruby. Flavor: high intensity, pepper, mild tobacco, currant, cedar, violet and truffle. Acidity: balance-freshness.
TEMPRANILLO Bunch: average, compact and broad. Berries: regular and blue-black color. Color: high intensity, nuances of red ruby and purplish. Flavor: ripe red fruits, prunes, currants, dried fruits, tobacco, coffee and cocoa. Acidity: balance-body.
MERLOT Bunch: average-small. Berries: small, very black with blue reflections. Color: very high intensity. Flavor: elegant and spiced. Acidity: balance-round-consistent.
CHARDONNAY Bunch :average-small. Berries: small, round, its color tends towards honey when they mature. Color: straw colored, from the palest to the goldest. Flavor: lemon, grapefruit, pear, in the hot climates tropical fruits. Acidity: average-high.
TRADITION
BOBAL Bunch: average-small. Berries: small, very black with blue reflections. Color: very high intensity of a cherry color almost violet. Flavor: full range of elegant and spiced flavors. Acidity: balance-round-consistent.
TARDANA Bunch: Large and lengthened. Berries: large, of thick skin. Color: straw colored, green reflections. Flavor: specific and varietal. Acidity: except for its late maturation, it is rather high.
THE CELLAR
Conceived according to a practical concept for the best treatment of the wine, applied to new technologies and traditional know-how.
The fermenting and bottling rooms can profit of gravity to reduce the mechanization of the engines.
ARTISTIC
METAPHOR
In the wine storehouse arranged at the optimal temperature and moisture, 420 barrels of the best French oaks receive the tenderness of the ambient music of Litz, Mozart, Beethoven or H채ndel, reaching a more perfect crystallization.
OENOTURISM
The old house, dating from the end of the 19th century, has all its importance because, besides its history, it is over there that one finds the head office of the winery.
Ceramic floors, wood beam, molding, fountains, patios and gardens, etc, the whole combined of some old and modern pieces of furniture. Dining room: 60 guests.
A manor, conscientiously restored in order to respect the faithful image of the Mediterranean wine production, gives a service of wine tourism of great quality on the Wine Route of Utiel-Requena.
