A PERSONAL WELCOME Arrival at your accommodation
BREAK THE ICE BEFORE DAY ONE First Sunday activities
THE ORANGE CARPET PREMIERE First day at school
LEARNING TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS Personalised throughout
We know how valuable your time is and how important it is to feel prepared. With EC Online you can access materials and start learning as soon as you book with us. You can also test your level, and share your goals and motivations, so we can prepare too.
If you have booked Homestay accommodation, you will arrive to a warm welcome from your host. If you choose a residence option, an EC representative will be on hand to make sure you are fully settled. You will feel 100% at home before school on Monday.
You can join in with a number of activities on the Sunday before school begins. These could include brunch, a city tour and a typical local dinner – all while getting to know the EC team and your fellow students. You will receive your invite to the activities two weeks before you arrive.
We give the best possible welcome. Refreshments, music and 100% of our team's attention creates a comfortable VIP environment on your first day. A short orientation talk is followed by lessons introducing learning at EC and local life.
We know the most important part of your experience is your learning! We will analyse your individual performance and give you a customised plan. You can access your learning plan at any time on EC Online, and use it to track and measure your progress.

EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW MEETING Preparing next steps
THE FAREWELL EVENT Reflection & celebration
With the EC Guarantee you can be sure of your success with us. And because you will take Oxford University Press’ Online Test at the beginning and end of your journey with us, you can also be confident that your progress is externally validated.
Two weeks before you leave us, you will have an optional oneto-one meeting to discuss your whole experience and plan for the future. You can also tell us how we can make your last two weeks pass as productively and smoothly as possible.
In this informal 'goodbye' event, you will reflect on your achievements and experiences with your teacher and classmates. You will receive your certificate, take photos with your friends, and celebrate your accomplishments.
Dream of getting a degree from a North American university? Let us help you reach your goal. We provide various routes into higher education in North America. With dedicated schools on campus at the State University of New York and UCSC Silicon Valley Extension, we also have many IELTS/TOEFL waiver and conditional admission agreements across a large and growing network of university partners. For more details see our Higher Education brochures.
