HERE’S THE BEEF: Glacial Ridge Cattlemen to serve steak Douglas County fairgoers are used to delicious pork chops served by the Douglas Grant County Pork Producers, who will serve on Saturday. This year, on Friday, they can also dine on steak, thanks to the Glacial Ridge Cattlemen’s Association, who will be serving on Friday. Fair Board Member Molly Maudal said she hopes to start a new tradition by incorporating local beef into the fair. “I think it’s really important to promote the beef industry,” said Maudal. The Glacial Ridge Cattlemen’s Association will serve steak starting at 4:30 p.m. right outside the Game & Fish Building, the same place the pork producers set up. Other new foods lined up for the year include Mi Mexico of Morris & Benson and Happy Lo Foods who will have either food trucks or tents in Calorie Lane.
