There’s so much that goes into a wedding that sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of the reason for your day – love. Let your loved one know how important they are by calling them on your wedding day, sending them a love note or giving a special gift. One touching trend these days is having the brides or grooms write a love note on the soles of each other’s shoes. Whether it’s a sonnet or something short and sweet, what better way to let your special someone – and your guests – know how you feel.

In Turkish weddings, the bride has all her single female friends write their names on the soles of her shoes. You could have each of your bridesmaids sign your shoes or write their wish for you. You could also have your shoes painted with “I do” or have a traditional poem inscribed on the bottom.
