“ As a young entrepreneur I started a snow removal company armed with a truck, snow plow…and strong work ethic. I quickly realized that snow and ice removal is all about commitment. No matter what happened, my word was my promise! However challenging, the same commitment remains today.”

COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE Starting out as a small snow removal company, growth began as employees and a greater range of services were added. Although successful from the start, the company was never one to rest on its laurels. Through experience, some shortcomings were identified with the available spreaders on the market, and the company began to tinker with a better solution — eventually developing the first low profile swing-away spreader.

Contractor sets priority In 1997, this snow removal company officially made the switch to focus exclusively on spreaders for snow and ice control — and TrynEx International was born.

HOW TO CHOOSE BRINE There are several manufacturers of brine solutions, each offering multiple formulas. Though selection can be confusing, there are some basics to keep in mind:

De-Ice. Anti-Ice. Spot Spray. More and more contractors are considering spraying brine solutions, rather than spreading, for winter maintenance applications. And SnowEx is ahead of the curve by introducing a complete line of innovative de-icing sprayers. The AccuSpray de-icing sprayers include a boom with five downward-facing nozzles for driving surface applications, a nozzle on either side of the boom for curb spraying, and a spray wand with hose reel for spot spraying.

LOCATION. Some brine solutions are easily tracked into buildings by pedestrian traffic where they can create indoor slip-and-fall hazards. If maintaining sidewalks, entryways or storefronts, be mindful of the ideal solutions for these areas.

CORROSION. Many brine solutions on the market contain some sort of corrosion inhibitor — or are non-chloride based — to limit vehicle damage or other steel structures/reinforcements.

Models for use with utility vehicles, pickup trucks and larger flatbed and dump trucks

are designed to limit environmental impact. These are particularly useful when addressing areas in close proximity to vegetation, such as sidewalks, trails and residential applications. Non-chloride solutions also reduce vegetation damage.
