YOUR FAMILY AND MARY The Friday, June 15 program, begins with Mass at ?:30 a.m. The opening session at 10:30 will include a word of welcome by ~~eVERY REV. ANDREW L. SEEBOLD, S.M., president of the University of Da•1ton; announcement of the winner of the Marian Medal for 1955 by REV. J HILIP C. HOELLE, S.M., director of the Marian Library; and the main addr.tss by FR. EAMON R. CARROLL, 0. CARM., Whitefriar's Hall, Washington, D.C., on "Pius XII and Mary's Mediation." Other talks on Friday will fe;1ture BRO. GERALD J. SCHNEPP, S.M., St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas, "Preparing the Child for God and Mary", and Mrs. MARY REED NEWLAND, Monson, Mass., "Mary and Training in Purity." The Saturday sessions will also open with Mass at 9:30. BROTHER SCHNEPP (Filial Piety, - Marian and Family) and MRS. NEWLAND (Honoring Mary in the Family) will speak in the morning. FATHER CARROLL will speak on "Our Lady Prays for Your Family" at the closing afternoo!t session. A special display of beautiful imported Marian statu( •S will be an added attraction of the 1956 Institute. Several Marian films ••nd film strips will be shown. Registration, $1.00 each day.

• What Are Marian Institutes ? They are days of lectures and discussions on Our lady and her role in the world and in our lives. The institutes are designed to enable you to know Mary better, and as a result, to love and serve her better. The specific theme of the 1956 institute is: Your Family and M.ry.
• Who Are The Speakers? Fr. Eamon R. Carroll, 0. Carm., is professor of Mariology at Whitefriars Hall, Washington, D. C., and a prominent member of the Mariological Society of America. Bro. Gerald J. Schnepp, S.M., is vice-president of St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas, a former professor of Sociology at St. louis University, and the author of several books on social problems. Mrs. Newland, who also participated in the 1955 institute, is the mother of seven children, lives in Monson, Mass., and has written two books, We and Our Children and The Year and Our Children.
• Who Is Invited? All those interested in learning more about Our lady are invited. A very special invitation is extended to the priests, religious, and laity of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. In past years we have welcomed visitors from twelve states and Canada to the institutes.
• How Do I Register? Fill out the back page of this Newsletter and mail to: Marian library, University of Dayton, Dayton 9, Ohio. Make checks payable to the Marian library. Meals will be served in the university dining room at a nominal cost. Housing accommodations will be provided on campus, or close to the campus, on request.
NATIONAL MARIOLOGY WORKSHOP The National Mariology Workshop, sponsored by the Mariology Commission of the National Federation of Catholic College Students (NFCCS) will be held August 27-28 at the Hotel Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio, immediately preceding the 13th National N FCC S Congress. Theme of the workshop will be "Consecration to Mary." Basically, the workshop is being organized to help regional chairmen and Marian campus workers. However, all Sodality prefects and Marian club representatives are also invited to attend. Brian Foote, St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas, chairman of the national commission, is in charge of the workshop. Giovanna Scorza is commission secretary, and Bro. Joseph Schmitz, S.M., is commission moderator.

Treece, ed.); THE POET'S ROSARY (Anne Tansey, ed.); MARY IN FAITH, HISTORY, AND DEVOTION (Anselm Burke); MARY COMMUNES WITH THE SAINTS (Raphael Brown); SAINT ANNE, GRANDMOTHER Of THE SAVIOUR (Frances Parkingson Keyes); MEDITATIONS FOR FIVE SATURDAYS DEVOTION (W. J. Wallace). Judges this year are Msgr. John S. Kennedy, Rev. Harold C. Gardiner, S.J., Sister Joseph Mary, S.L., Rev. J. B. Carol, O.f.M., and Brother Stanley Mathews.
