THE MEANING of L (I U R DES Father James M. Egan, O.P., Mrs. Mary Reed Newland, and Sister Mary Jean Dorey, O.P., will be the featured speakers at the sixth annual Marian Institute of the Marian Library on Friday and Saturday. June 13 and 14, 1958. Theme of the institute is The Meaning of lourdes. Father Egan, who teaches theology at St. Mary's Cohege, Notre Dame, Ind., is a member of the Mariological Society of Ameri::a and of the Catholic Theological Society of America, and has contributed to several theological journals. One of his articles, Mary, Queen of the Universe, was published as Marian Reprint 54 in October, 1957. Mrs. Newland who sppke at Morian Institutes in 1955 and 1956, lives with her husband and seven children on il large farm in Monson, Mass. Her most recent book, The Saints and Our Children, was published in May. Two earlier works, We and Our Children and The Year and Our Children, are highly regarded for their practical approach to Chr stian family life. Sister Mary Jean appeared on the program of the N'arian Institute in 1954. Now stationed in Pittsburg, California, Sister is na•ionally known for her famous silhouettes as well as her m;my books, including several on Our Lady: Our Lady of Springtime, Shrines of Our lady, and Fount of Our Joy. She writes for numerous Catholic magazines.
A special showing of the documentory film, lourde; and Its Miracles, will be a feature of the institute this year. Registration $1.50 per day; $2.50 for both days.

LOURDES CONTEST WINNERS Fifteen states and Puerto Rico were represented among the entries received from high school students in the Lourdes Contest sponsored by the Marian Library and the Marianist magazine. Winners of the first four prizes were:
