Creating values at different levels • Economically- by better prices and more proper products • Culturally- by liberating recourses in ourselves • ”We all look at ourselves through other peoples eyes. – Peoples - living in/related to - the landscape are the most important condition for the creation of values and for sustainability – Managing the role as hosts is a condition for sustainability
The new approach • Goals: – Meeting the need for partnership and cooperation between ongoing local prosesses – Follow up the World Heritage status and make it a lantern for whole fjord Norway. – Reveal and develop the potensials for sustainable economic development in the area – Building IDENTITY • The global village – offers people a place to get attached to (identity) through ”aktiv experience and involvement” • A tourism that strengthen the qualities it is based on and empower the local community
