truly thankful for. Unfortunately after several hours’ meditation on the subject it was left with a piece of paper with the phrase “jacket potatoes” scrawled in one corner, which was just a bit sad. So here’s some things the Weekender is kind of grateful for if you really twisted its arm – 1. Gin (delicious) 2. That lions are either quite rare or in zoos (scared of lions) 3. Table tennis (I’d beat you) 4. Gin (again) and 5. Laser Quest (makes an ace birthday party). Onto this nonsense…

Wow! We didn’t know what to expect from Jane Stockdale’s seemingly bountiful bookshelf, but we had a feeling it would mirror her energised, powerful photographic skills that we have been gaping at in awe for years now. If you haven’t yet witnessed how Jane uses her camera to capture some of the And the lord world’s most electric moments from festivals to riots, it may be good to check out her website before you read on. Elsewehere we defy you not to smile at these cloned video animation GIFs courtesy of Colossal, we thought too much about Dads in pants (thanks Creative Review!) and we were pretty surprised to fid out that we might be spied on by mannequins. Yikes! Tweet of the week “I wish someone would sort through all the sayings and label the ones that only apply to dogs.” subjected to not just the original Band Aid but its mutant modern incarnation too, kudos to the team behind this Norwegian spoof charity single for Radi-Aid. Purportedly the efforts of a group of African musicians concerned about the Arctic temperatures in the Scandinavian land, it’s a brilliant piece of satire with some lovely touches. Cutlery-based trance cover of the week Want to see an old man playing the spoons along to Faithless’ Insomnia? Your wish, my command…
Brief-Its Nice That is an art and design web based publishing platform, which attracts a diverse audience from creative directors to students. The brief is to reconnect with the student audience through the promotion of the brand across any medium. I have decided to develop the ideas of an already successful brand with the ethos of interactivity. Creating an interactive app in which students can connect with industry professionals as well as other students. Concept-The weekender is an existing area of the Its Nice That web sight, which is a weekly round of the best most eye-catching articles and works. I have merely added more interaction with users of the app, allowing students to create there own profiles and upload aspects of design or indeed anything that has inspired them through out the week. The layout is simple as the colour scheme, not detracting from the uploaded images.

Thanks to BOTW ( as allto the cool kids are calling it) we found And the lord said noah We’ve written about a lot of Victionary’s new publications over the last couple of months, and who can blame us; out why Yellow Submarine had such a massive impact on The they’ve got their finger on the pulse of trends in art, design and fashion more so than the vast majority of publishing Simpsons and Shrek, we enjoyed reading about the creative outfits out there. So forgive us if we defer to them once again, but they’ve got another book fresh off the press and process of DJ Shadow and we perused Design Week’s list of unsurprisingly, it’s a corker. the 50 best creative studios around (and no, Apple’s not number one) Best of the Rest Elsewehere we defy you not to smile at these cloned video animation GIFs courtesy of Colossal, we thought too much about Dads in pants (thanks Creative Review!) and we were pretty surprised to fid out that we might be spied on by mannequins.
