Welcome to Maths and Me
Maths and Me is a new and exciting maths programme from The Educational Company of Ireland now available from Junior Infants to 4th Class. It provides children with playful, engaging and creative learning experiences that will help you nurture and strengthen pupils’ maths knowledge and confidence using simple and effective strategies.
Developed by a team of highly experienced primary teachers, authors and maths experts, Maths and Me is fully aligned to the new Primary Maths Curriculum (PMC). The programme helps you to effectively plan, teach and assess maths, allowing for the easy and practical implementation of the PMC.

A high-quality Pupil’s Book which includes innovative features and provides opportunity for consolidation and extension activities.

Maths and Me Progress Assessment Booklets
An individual Progress Assessment Booklet provides a snapshot of the child’s progress throughout the year and is accompanied by an easy to administer record sheet.
The Assessment Booklet is designed to be flexible – each assessment covers a number of units and teachers can decide when to assess – after each unit (during the Review and Reflect day) or during Review weeks. Maths and Me Progress Assessment Booklets contain:
l Start of Year and End of Year Maths Attitudes Survey (from 1st class)
l Check-up questions for every unit
l A flexible approach: test on a unit-by-unit or review weeks
Pupil Progress Assessment Booklet provides pupils with the experience of formal assessment. The recommended scoring system allows for more accurate marking and the spreadsheet provided makes analysis easy and effective.

Maths and Me Home/School Links Book
Maths and Me Home/School Links Book are available from Junior Infants to 2nd class are have been designed to support children’s mathematical development bridging the gap between home and school, encouraging the positive involvement of families in their child’s learning.
Progress Assessment Booklet
The Home/School Links Book will support you in embracing the new curriculum in a practical way inviting parents to play an active role in their child’s mathematical development.
The books each include a Dear family note along with a QR code for linkage to the range of interactive digital resources provided on the Parent/Pupil App and which can also be for quick and easy digital resources access on class devices and for station teaching.
The Parent/Pupil App is also available for 3rd and 4th class.

An invaluable Maths and Me Teacher’s Pack is available exclusively with the programme. It contains a wide variety of materials and resources and a wealth of ideas to help to reduce the time teachers spend planning their lessons and finding appropriate resources.
The pack provides detailed support for teachers on lesson sequence, what to look and listen for, subject knowledge, lesson planning, suggested higher-order questions to support and challenge reasoning, and questions to support assessment.

Maths and Me Digital Resources
An extensive range of over 2,000 fun, innovative, easy-to-use and engaging FREE Interactive Digital Resources are central to the programme and provide rich learning opportunities for children, bringing maths to life in the classroom.
All the resources support the pedagogical practices promoted in the PMC and they are incorporated into the lesson plans and designed to encourage Maths Talk and allow for formative assessment.
