NaPoBo Patriot blood. Independence heroes

- the precursor of latin american independence, PolicarpaSalavarrieta, the largest Antonio Narino, heroin at that time and the great liberator Simon Bolivar. Three Characters who fought, shed blood in several clashes, participated in different battles, made great achievements and value filled with love of country and for the liberation of his people. They fought till the end and helped the patriot cause by becoming leaders and heroes of american independence -

Creoles led by Camilo Torres, Francisco Jose-de Caldas, Jose- Acevedo, and others, make a plan which stirred the people into a “showdown” with the Spanish merchant Llorente. They organized a new governing body, where - and appointing Jorge Tadeo Lozano as 1st president of the United Provinces of Nueva is expulsed Viceroy Amar y Borbon Granada. He gives orders to Captain Antonio Baraya to enter and remove the control realistic in Popayan.

Help in the highlands. from Guaduas, La Pola arrives with Alejandro Sabarain to SantaFe. Decides to join the patriotic force centralist and helps their cause. The Pola comes from Santa Fe to the nearby towns of highlands to meet people and convince us to the cause and Alejandro Sabarain to recruit soldiers and collect weapons for war. Mission: - Convince people to join the cause - Protect the trade routes of Nueva Granada - Recruit troops with a defined number

Battle in Santa Fe . January 5, 1813. Col. Atanasio Girardot (neogranadine) , takes over Monserrate and Col. Rodriguez takes over Usaquen, on the outskirts of the city. The Captain Baraya is preparing to attack Santa Fe. Mission: - Protect the trade route and avoid that Girardot controls it - Take over Usaquen - Avoid the control of San Victorino

Chapter 2. South Campaing January 9, 1813. Narino wins in Santa Fe Battle, capturing 1200 soldiers including oficials Santander and Caldas. Narino meets with Camilo Torres and join forces. On September 21, 1813 Narino goes south to fight Samano, captain that went with troops to Popayan to regain the territories of the Spanish colony.

Between the Andes. Narino travels through the wild mountain ranges of Andes and hopes to arrive in La Plata to meet with Commander Jose Maria Cabal, who brought reinforcements from Cauca. Mission: - Resist into the way to La Plata. Outlaws way - Any leader can die - Receive reinforcements in La Plata

Popayån’s fall. September 30, 1813 Narino and his troops arrive to Alto de Palace and battle with the realist

troops of Juan Samano. Mission: - Win at Alto de Palace - Enter Popayan - Beat Samano and Col. Asin in the Calibio estate

Treason in Pasto. Narino rest in Popayan. The pola decides to travel to Guaduas. Narino goes out to take over Pasto and on May 4th, 1814 the war starts in Cebollas hill Mission: - Win in Cebollas hill - Resist the attack in Juanambu river camp - Beat in Pasto suburbs - Enter Pasto with Narino and Lt. Sabarain

Col. Rodriguez (federalist) betrays Narino with the rearguard, and returned to Popayan with artillery. Narino, in Pasto is taken prisioner along with Sabarain. The pola returns to Guaduas and with Almeida brothers decide to become spies under order of Colonel Rodriguez

Chapter 3. Spanish reconquest February 15, 1815. From Cadiz leaves the Spanish expedition of reconquest

led by Pablo Morillo, consisting of 15,000 troops and 70 ships, who landed in Venezuela. In the year of 1816 Guaduas is taken by Spanish troops , but the Pola continues with espionage, the refuge of patriots and collection of resources for the American cause.

Patriot cuartel in Guaduas . La Pola and Almeida brothers help the American cause patriotic soldiers sheltering in their trading posts and in forest. They continue with espionage. Mission: - Avoid to lose trading post positions by the constant arrival of realistic guards - Find arrival points of the patriot troops and lead them safely to the estate of Almeida

Guaduas escape. Col. Rodriguez arrives with Bibiano Salavarrieta to Guaduas. they communicate Pola that Sabarain is jailed in Santa Fe. Realist troops have noticed the arrival of them and go to their persecution. Mission: - Arrive to Guaduas exit safely

Capture and death of Pola . Pola gains access to Santa Fe with a fake ID and began her work of spying. She has to collect some clues throughout the city and meet with Alejo and Bibiano at a point to give the information, but the Iglesias officer is on her way Mission: - Collect clues throughout the city - Not to be found by Spanish guards - Arrive to the point of meeting with and Sabarain and Bibiano

November 10, 1817. La Pola is captured along with Alejandro Sabarain and on 14 November is shot in the central

square by the realists. Sabarain is hanged. Pola’s efforts weren’t in vain, because the resources, information and safeguarded troops came into the hands of the patriots in the plains. Captains Santander and Paez, continue the process of independence.

Simon Bolivar. The great liberator Chapter 4. The admirable campaign January 8, 1813. Bolivar takes over Ocana with the help of United Provinces of Nueva Granada. Gathers strength

and goes to Cucuta. On the road, he beats the realists in Aguada. On February 28, 1813 attacks San Jose de Cucuta and defeats Col. Correa, beginning the re-conquest of Venezuela.

Venezuela entrance . Bolivar meets Atanasio Girardot, Jose Rivas and RafaelUrdaneta and decides to go to Venezuela. Officers retract in the rearguad and vanguard. They fight in Agua Obispo and Niquilao on May 14 and July 2, 1813. Mission: - Defeat Col. Canas with Col. Girardot in Agua de Obispo - Arrive to Trujillo with Girardot - Defeat Col. Marti with Col. Rivas and Col. Urdaneta in Niquilao

War until death . Bolivar deploys his troops who arrives to Lara and Cajedes plains the July 31, 1813 .

Bolivar and his troops fight the realists as a last attempt at the Battle of Barbula and Col. Girardot dies, putting the flag of his patriotic troops. Bolivar arrives to Caracas and set the 2nd Republic of Venezuela.

12. Bolivar’s escape . Bolivar, Col. Marino, Col. Ribas and Col. Bermudez are defeated in war with Boves. Bolivar and Marino are declared traitors by trying to escape from Venezuela and are jailed but they escape. Mission: - Get into the Bianchi’s ship - Navigate to the Carupano output without being destroyed

Bolivar escapes to Cartagena and meets in Tunja with Camilo Torres. He named commander of the armed forces and with Rafael Urdaneta go to take SantaFe, to join Cundinamarca and the troops of Nueva Granada.


Chapter 5. NeoGranadine unification and Cays expedition 13.

SantaFe’s fall . Bolivar and Urdaneta arrive Fontibon near Santa Fe and determine its headquarters. On December 10, 1814 They attack together to Santa Barbara and San Victorino, entry points of Santa Fe Mission: - Take over the points of Santa Barbara and San Victorino - Enter to the central plaza of Santa Fe

Bolivar takes over Santa Fe and the provinces of New Granada are unified. Bolivar goes to Jamaica and Haiti, and plans a new conquest of Venezuela.

Naval battle . Bolivar leaves Haiti with Admiral Luis Brion to Margaritas Islands, but are intercepted by

The withdrawal of 600 . Bolivar meets MacGregor British troops and plans to land in Ocumare de la Costa, where he hopes to escape from the realists and come to the mainland to regroup his forces with Eastern troops. Mission: Play with: Nueva Granada. Officials: Bolivar, Col. - Land in Ocumare MacGregor, Col. Soublette and Col. Piar - Arrive until Maracay exit without being defeated by the troops of Enemies: Spanish. Officier: Col. Morales Col. Morales In 1817 Bolivar travels to Margarita Island. He passes Barcelona and enters the eastern of Venezuela. Along with the commander Paez and Col. Soublette they win in the eastern of Venezuela, and consolidated, the troops retreat. Bolivar meets Santander, entering the plains and choose to begin the retaking of Nueva Granada, entering Tame, military barracks of Col. Santander.

Chapter 6. The Andes way June 27, 1819. Bolivar, Col. Santander and Col. Arredondo defeat Col. Figueroa in Paya and are forced to cross the Pisba Moor to continue.

16. Passage through the Pisba Moor . The patriot troops led by Bolivar, go into the Pisba moor, in which succumbs extreme cold and dangerous cliffs, without waiting for the battle that will begin at the end of the way. Vargas Swamp Battle . Bolivar arrives to Bonza on July 25, 1819, at front of the realists. Decides to go ahead and in Vargas Swamp begins battle, awaiting the arrival of the Lancers led by Jose Rondon. Mission: - Resist realist attacks until the arrival of Jose Rondon - Beat Col. Diaz and Col. Barreiro

Battle of Boyaca Bridge . Barreiro tries to escape with his troops and seeks to regroup with Samano in Santa Fe. But Bolivar successfully intercepted them in Boyaca bridge on August 7, 1819. Mission: - Avoid to escape the realist army who are being attacked in the vanguard of Col. Santander - Pass the forest quickly with Bolivar troops and defeat Barreiro

August 10, 1819. Bolivar arrives to Santa Fe victorious, but Samano escapes. Bolivar achieves fully detached from the

Nueva Granada to Spanish hands. October 9, 1820: The Guayaquil board seeks help from Bolivar , and he sends his commander Antonio Jose de Sucre temporarily , at time, begins the South campaign. In 1821 the Cucuta Congress, is established by 1st time the Gran Colombia, consisting of Quito, Cundinamarca and Venezuela. On June 24 and July 24, 1823 Bolivar participates in the Carabobo battles, in Venezuela which is liberated.
