Welcome to EdExec LIVE 2014! Thank you for joining us today at EdExec LIVE 2014, our fourth reader event for Education Executive. I for one am really excited to hear what our impressive speakers have to say – what a glittering bunch of education experts they are! We’ve secured specialists in a wide range of areas, including free school meals, 1:1 tablet implementation, fraud, ICT procurement and academy conversion. With such experts on hand, we feel secure in the knowledge that you’ll leave today well-equipped to take on the challenges that you’ll face in your role tomorrow. This year we’ve also added a number of panel sessions into the seminar mix to encourage more interaction between the speakers and audience. If you have a burning question you want to ask one of our panel members, please go ahead – they’ll be happy to help. The day starts with an overview of the challenges facing the sector and the crucial role that the school business manager plays, and will continue with a series of seminars, with lunch and coffee breaks scheduled in between. The event culminates with networking drinks at 4.30pm, so we hope you’ll stick around – it’ll be yet another chance to mingle with your peers and chat all things school business management (or not, depending on level of brain overload!) Each delegate will have been given a personal day schedule in their delegate packs. We ask that you please try to adhere to this as closely as possible, since demand has been high for all sessions. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to flag me down – I’ll be around all day. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the event!
