Last week, both Year 3 classes visited the Science Centre based at nearby Moonhill Quarry. The trip was part of their topic work on Rocks and Soils. It was an incredible opportunity for our pupils to develop their knowledge on the subject as well as to learn more about how rocks are an essential part of their past and future.
Miss Switzer and Year 3 would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who brought in wool donations for their ‘spread a little cheer’ pom-poms, created as part of our well-being week. It was wonderful to see the faces of pupils and parents/carers when they turned up to see the pom-poms on the school railings.

Following our feature on the ‘Beauty and the Beat’ half term performance, the pupils involved kindly agreed to bring in their costumes and give a select audience a magical mini-performance. It was clear from this just how much time and dedication they had put in to learning their dance routines and how much they’d enjoyed being part of this team effort. STARS OF THE WEEK Raul and Venus for earning their ‘Target Master’ Accelerated Reader awards and Lucas in Year 4 for his ‘happy face award’ for great resilience this week.
Have a Little Faith Last Tuesday’s collective worship featured the story of Abraham and Sarah and focused on the power of faith and belief. The children were entertained by the Visiting Christians’ retelling of the Biblical story through the humorous use of puppets. Huge thanks to Annie, Phil and Suzie who gave up their time to join us.
Lucas would like to thank everyone from OWL class, and the Staff for making him such a great Get Well card. He’s feeling much better now. All your messages and good wishes are much appreciated. A special “thank you!” as well, to Poppy for her lovely card and pom-poms and to Year 5 for their super card. It’s great to see the feeling of well-being carrying on into this half term and we are all happy and relieved to see Lucas back again and on the mend.
