Diana Greenfield Led by: The Vicar 11.15am: Café Style Service Team-led Collect Almighty God, who alone can bring order to the unruly wills and passions of sinful humanity: give your people grace so to love what you command and to desire what you promise, that, among the many changes of this world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. Bible Readings for today: 1 Cor.15:12-20; Luke 6:17-26

Securing the Future at St John’s - UPDATE: Work is now well underway. All the pews were sold at the auction in January and all but ten have been collected; these are scheduled to go before the end of this month. The wood platforms on which the pews were located, have been removed and are being taken away. The churchyard has been enclosed with security fencing and the contractor’s compound safety fencing has been adjusted to minimise its adverse effect on our neighbours. Wood panels protecting the organ and the stonework, such as the columns, are nearly complete. I expect the ‘heavy lifting’ of some of the stone floor slabs will begin in a week or so. Larry Schenck
