Dream, Believe, Achieve 29th April 2019 Dear Mums, Dads & Carers, The staff of St. Benedict’s are pleased to continue to offer a range of extra-curricular activities for the children to take part in during the Summer term. Please see overleaf for the timetable. All after-school clubs listed will run from 3.15 – 4.00p.m. except Chess and Production club which will finish at 4.15p.m. and Drama at 4.30p.m. All children to be collected from the BACK DOOR. Considering the safety of your child is of the utmost importance to all our staff we know you will help us by: Collecting your child promptly after the club. No child should walk home unaccompanied unless we have been informed. Phoning the office/seeing the teacher in charge/writing a letter if your child is unable to attend or does not wish to come anymore. In the event of a club being cancelled due to poor weather or other circumstances, we will endeavour to contact you by text message, however if you have not received a text message please feel free to call the school office and check whether your child’s club is happening. If we are unable to contact you, your child will stay with the teacher until the normal collection time. Permission slips must be returned to your class teacher by Wednesday 1st May to give us time to draw up registers and send home acknowledgement slips. All clubs will start next week (beginning Tuesday 7th May), with the exception of Confirmation club and Chess club. Please discuss the opportunities with your child of joining a school club, or two maybe, and fill in the permission slip to indicate their chosen club/s. Your child will bring home a slip advising them if they have a place in their chosen club/s or not. St Benedict’s have a very committed, multi-talented, enthusiastic staff. Please ensure your child benefits from the wide range of activities on offer. Yours sincerely,
Piers Ranger Headteacher
