WELCOME TO THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION OPEN EVENING
During the course of this event you will have the opportunity to find out about the full range of courses available for anyone who wishes to become a teacher or work in the wider children’s workforce. Additionally you can receive advice on how to apply for the course of your choice and about the financial support available. Edge Hill University’s Faculty of Education is one of the largest providers of teacher education and training for the school workforce. The Faculty has strong links with schools to facilitate placements which play a key part in each student’s preparation for their chosen career. Excellent facilities include classrooms equipped with the latest technology, specialist laboratories, workshops and studios for Science, PE, Art and Design students, along with ICT suites and a 300 seat lecture theatre. Fastrack
Access to Primary Initial Teacher Training in Higher Education (30 weeks + 7 weeks)
Access to Secondary Initial Teacher Training in Higher Education (30 weeks + 7 weeks) Preparation for Higher Education (7 weeks)
Fastrack is an intensive 30 week part-time and 6 weeks full-time Preparation for Initial Teacher Training programme for adults, designed to give you the skills and knowledge to prepare yourself for entry to a specific Initial Teacher Training course at Edge Hill University. Successful completion will enable you to start a full time Initial Teacher Training degree from the following September. The alarm sounds continually Follow the green and white Fire Exit signs to leave the building by the nearest available exit.
