Student Support
Most international students coming to study at Edge Hill University will need to apply for a Tier 4 student visa. A Tier 4 visa allows international students to study at the educational institution stated on their visa, for the duration of their course with limited working hours.
Working in the UK Many international students will be able to work part-time whilst studying at Edge Hill. However, even for those that are allowed to work, there are restrictions on the type and the number of hours you can work which will be stated on your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).
Coming to the UK for less than 6 months If your course is less than 6 months in length then it is likely that you will come to the UK on a short-term study visa. Students are not allowed to work on this type of visa.

An amazing University... Marianna Buseman
USA
I chose to study at Edge Hill because of its location in the North West of England. I settled into life at Edge Hill with no difficulties and felt at home from the moment I arrived. The campus was extremely beautiful and modern and the people were so friendly. It’s been great getting to know so many different people and making connections with people from all over the world. I have enjoyed my classes as they have been intriguing and a lot of fun. The courses of study are excellent. The tutors are very experienced and accommodating to student needs, and they always make the lectures interesting. Edge Hill is an amazing University and anyone would be lucky to study here.

Beautiful Campus... Yuan Zhang (Chloe) & Yuan Mo (Monica)
China
Chloe – My first impression was that the campus was beautiful and the people were friendly. In my spare time I enjoyed travelling, going to the sports centre, walking around campus, listening to music and chatting to friends.
Monica – It has been easy to make friends from different countries and cultures. I mostly enjoyed the course and the activities that were organised by the International Office. I have also enjoyed travelling to a number of European countries including Spain and France. I will miss everything and would definitely recommend Edge Hill to my friends.
Get Involved... Yotam Berant
Israel
I studied on the International Foundation programme at Edge Hill and progressed to study a BA (Hons) in Media, Film and Television. I settled into Edge Hill easily and instantly became involved with several societies, including the International Students Society, Circus Skills Society and I also train and play for the American Football team - The Edge Hill University Vikings. I love living in Ormskirk, it is close enough to the big cities such as Liverpool and Manchester, but secluded enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. I would definitely recommend Edge Hill to any prospective student, my advice would be get involved, there is always something happening in and around campus.
