Welcome Welcome to the Faculty of Education Open Evening.

I am very pleased that you have taken the time to come along and see what we have to offer.

The Faculty of Education at Edge Hill is the UK's largest provider of education and training for the whole school workforce and we continually strive to offer an outstanding experience for all of our students as they learn and prepare for their chosen career working as part of the country’s children’s workforce.

Robert Smedley, The University has recently achieved Grade 1 Dean of the ‘outstanding' results across all 33 possible Faculty of Education graded areas covering every phase of initial teacher training - Primary & Early Years, Secondary and Post-Compulsory Education and Training. This recognition from Ofsted reflects the quality of the training experience at Edge Hill University and its partner schools and colleges, and the stunning outcomes that our trainees achieve.

We are keen to help and support you in making the correct choice of programme that will meet your needs and offer that really outstanding experience that I know you are looking for.

I hope you enjoy your time with us and that we can help you make the right choice With very best wishes,

Robert Smedley, Dean of the Faculty of Education
