The Language Centre We offer a number of English Language Improvement Courses ranging from those aimed at preparing students for study on further academic courses here at Edge Hill to summer programmes for those wishing to improve their English Language ability whilst learning about, and experiencing, British culture.

The courses are delivered through a mixture of lectures, tutorials, small group seminars and independent study. Our teachers all have considerable experience of teaching international students whose first language is not English. They understand the challenges you may face and the teaching methods which will be most beneficial. The needs of the students are central to the design and development of each course.

There are no more than 15 students in each class allowing the tutors to spend time with individuals as well as allowing students to work together in a comfortable, supportive environment.

All of our courses have a full social programme to help students make friends and get to know the North West of England. We are committed to supporting you at all times, aiming to make your studies both stimulating and enjoyable. •
