AuctioneeR
zane drishinski
Zane Drishinski has been a professional auctioneer for 25 years. He auctioneers across the West for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and close to home to support local causes, such as 4-H, Lion’s Club, and the Sletten Cancer Institute, in addition to Florence Crittenton.
Zane also raises cattle, sheep, hay, and wheat on his family farm near Conrad, and he is a County Commissioner for Pondera County. He spends every autumn in the backcountry astride his trusty steed, Lightning. In his spare time, he works as a rodeo clown for PRCA events across Montana. We are grateful to him for being a long-time supporter of Florence Crittenton Family Services!

Mykell Fox
Mykell Fox was a client at Florence Crittenton from the fall of 2005 to the summer of 2007. Mykell joined us when she was 16 years old and had her daughter in March 2006.
Florence Crittenton helped her in many positive ways that has made her the mom she is today. She married a wonderful man that has become a fantastic father figure to her oldest daughter, Jorlynn. They are celebrating ten years of marriage in July. With her husband’s support, she is able to be a stay-at-home mom to their three beautiful daughters. Mykell provides childcare for a few family friends’ kids and loves being able to work from home. The Fox family likes to go camping and spend time together.
S peake R
Jorlynn Carroll is 16 years old and truly loves her life! She is a junior at C.M. Russell High School and is a varsity cheerleader. She is looking forward to attending college after graduation.
Jorlynn said her mom attending Florence Crittenton truly made her life so much more amazing, as she didn’t have to worry about the struggles of coming from a teen mom.

Learn About & Support Project Sunshine
As a current supporter of Florence Crittenton, you’ve likely heard about Project Sunshine. Because we’ve outgrown our current facility, we purchased the former Cooney building last year and are about to begin renovations. We’ll have a campus where every program we offer will be co-located, and we’ll be able to not only serve more families, we’ll be able to expand each program to better meet the needs of our communities
Building
a bright future for Families
Throughout Florence Crittenton’s history, we have evolved time and time again to meet the changing needs of Montana’s parents and children. In the last few years, we have recognized that the need for our programs is greater than ever, and increasing our capacity to serve has emerged as an essential step in continuing our mission. And thus, the dream of Project Sunshine began. This dream was to have a campus where we can co-locate our residential, community, and early childhood programs with room to not only serve more families, but also build our programs to respond to a greater spectrum of needs.
We dreamed of a place where staff can collaborate freely, a safe space where our clients feel welcomed and supported, and an enriching environment where children can explore and grow.
We dreamed big—and now that dream is becoming a reality!
WAYS TO BE A PART OF PROJECT SUNSHINE
A THOUSAND THANK YOUS: We are paving the way to success for our families, and you can be a permanent part of it! Purchase one of 1,000 bricks for $1,000 that will be laid on the positive path our families will take, literally, as well as figuratively.
HONOR AND MEMORY GIFTS: A donation in the name of a loved one is a beautiful way to honor or memorialize a special person in your life. We will send an acknowledgment to the honoree or the family of one you’re memorializing so they are aware of your special gift.
LEGACY GIFTS AND NAMING OPPORTUNITIES: Legacy gifts that result in naming rights for program areas on our campus are a lasting way to memorialize a loved one or leave a family or business legacy.
If you would like more information on these opportunities, please reach out to Heather Greene at 406.442.6950 x255 or heatherg@florencecrittenton.org. Visit www.projectsunshine.info or scan the code to the left.

HISTORY OF PINK From Humble Beginnings Come the Greatest Triumphs
While we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Paint the Town PINK, we would like to reflect on history of this incredible event and its role in serving families from across Montana for the past two decades.
After a few years of hosting the Chair-ity Auction at the Montana Club with 100 people in the room, the Board of Directors at Florence Crittenton led by Board members Nan Ballien, Shauna Thomas President, Margaret Anderson, then Executive Director Pat Seiler, and Development Director, Barb Burton, decided they would take the event to the next level and kicked off Paint the Town PINK in 2003. The small event of 250 held at the Civic Center raised about $30,000, and so began a legacy. Today that legacy carries on, raising $200,000$300,000 per year to support the programs at Florence Crittenton. Over the 20 years, the event has incredibly raised over $3 million, with all of the proceeds going straight back to helping families in the care of Florence Crittenton!
While the event has become bigger and better every year, it has always been characterized by one important aspect: amazing and at times, outrageous decorations! The early days of Paint the Town PINK featured paint cans on each table with fabric draping all the way to the ceiling of the Civic Center. There were the days of full themes, such as the Cruise Ship at Carroll College and the Wizard of Oz theme. And who could forget the fantastic dragon celebrating the Chinese New Year. When the event became too big for the Civic Center, the decision was made to move to the Fairgrounds, and there began the really big décor. Sea creatures illuminating the ceiling, circus tents and stilt walkers, and larger than life peacocks and antlers…if you can dream it, you have probably seen it at PINK!
The event has been a great representation of our organization over the years. Just like PINK, Florence Crittenton is constantly evolving to provide high quality services to the community. As was once said by an attendee to now Executive Director, Carrie Krepps, “PINK is a classy event for a classy organization.” The event has always represented the highest quality and attention to detail, just as we do with our programs and service to our clients every day. The event also represents a sense of community, no different than the organization itself. PINK brings together sponsors, auction donors, volunteers, and attendees from all walks of life to put together an incredible event each year. It is never done by one single person, just as our work with our clients is the effort of the entire team of staff and the community’s support. And most importantly, the event represents the ideal that with support, something, or someone, can come from humble beginnings and achieve greatness in this world. Our highly anticipated PINK speakers highlight this perfectly every year. We love to see them shine as they share their story and their lives today. As the event has grown, changed, and achieved our goals, so have our clients…and we are so proud of both.
Thank you for being part of the magic that is PINK and for making a difference in the lives of the families at Florence Crittenton. We are so happy to be back and can’t wait to celebrate this very special anniversary with all of you!
