Kindergarten Prep with Parenting Kindergarten Prep with Parenting Both of our Kindergarten Prep with Parenting Classes offers you and your child a chance to grow together in an environment that strengthens the connection between home and school and enables both of you to enjoy uninterrupted time together on a regular basis. Parents will meet with a licensed parent educator, either once-a-week or once-a-month to discuss such topics as developing friendships, sibling rivalry, dealing with disappointment and transitioning to kindergarten. Sibling care is available for the parent/child time. On child only days our Kindergarten Prep curriculum is designed to foster academic and critical thinking skills, as well as social, physical and emotional growth in a guided discovery based setting that helps prepare children for kindergarten. All of our preschool classrooms are equipped with Smart Board technology, encourage regular parent involvement, host special events and offer parent teacher conferences at least two times a year. All teachers are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education in Early Childhood Education. The Edina Family Center is Parent Aware 4 Star CertiďŹ cation and NAEYC accredited.
