FREE ROYAL BANK ON THE ROYAL MILE

ThroughoutAugust the central section of the Royal Mile around the Fringe Shop and Parliament Square is transformed into a huge street theatre featuring buskers, acrobats, fire-eaters and other entertainers. Also on hand are Fringe performers handing out leaflets or performing short extracts from their shows to help you decide what to see...

FREE FRINGE SUNDAY

Taking place on the Meadows, a short 10 minute walk from the Fringe Shop, Fringe Sunday is a huge garden party that attracts crowds of over 200,000 and features free performances of Fringe shows, art displays, music and children's activities. This year also sees the introduction of the Fringe Sunday Stage School Tent sponsored by Bank of Scotland. The tentwill feature free workshops and performances and is open to all children thatwould like to take part. 2007's event takes place on Sunday 12 August from 11am-5pm.

FREE THE EDINBURGH FESTIVALS' CAVALCADE

Every year the Cavalcade attracts over 175,000 spectators and features the Edinburgh MilitaryTattoo, along with over 3,000.participants from Fringe shows, Community Groups, Commercial floats and bands from all over the world. The 2007 Cavalcadewill take place on Sunday 5 August at 2.30pm. It will run from Market Street, over Waverley Bridge, along Princes Street into Lothian Road, finishing at the end ofCastle Terrace.
