NDG Pet Fest Takes Place This Saturday

Animal lovers are invited to join in for a day of celebration with their pets at the annual NDG Pet Fest. It takes place this Saturday, September 8, at 6870 rue de Terrebonne.

Come and find great products and local services for yourself and for your pet. The NDG Pet Fest is an annual outdoor festival that is attended by pet businesses, animal rescue organizations, friends and families, neighbourhood businesses, and pets of all sorts with their owners.

Run entirely by volunteers, NDG Pet Fest raises funds for three local charities: Women on the Rise, Hippy, and Eleven Eleven Animal Rescue.

7 Project: A town brochure A The model

Clifton Tourism

Welcome to Clifton, Manitoba. The population of our town is 10 000. The town was established in 1812. This year is the town’s second centennial. There are a lot of events and activities planned.

Events Fireworks

To celebrate the centennial, there will be fireworks on Saturday, June 2. The fireworks are at Clifton Park at 9:00 p.m. All community members and tourists are welcome to come and enjoy the festivities. Firefighters’ Parade The annual Firefighters’ Parade takes place at the fire station on Sunday, July 6th, at 10:00 a.m. Watch for make-up artists, clowns and Floppy, the firefighters’ mascot.

Places of Interest Truman’s Grocery

Come see the grocers and cashiers at Truman’s Grocery. They have many different local products that are not sold anywhere else. The store is located at 1535 Highgate Avenue and is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Museum There is a new exhibition at the museum. Come and see artwork from local artists, including Rich Ray and Meg Lope. The museum is located on Elm Avenue and is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. It costs $5 for adults and it is free for children.

Activities Riverside Pool

Come to the pool! We have swimming lessons and a diving club. Join in for barbeques and dance parties on Saturdays. The pool is open from June to August. Membership is $100 per family. Library Story time with Jamal takes place every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. It is free for all. Jamal reads adventure and fantasy books. Don’t forget your library card!
