Joss and her friends live near the sea, in Ocean Town.

Look! There is Joss. She goes to the beach every day. She likes to see the people on the beach. She likes to play with her friends, look at the sea and the birds. But today she’s thinking about her friend Leo.

“Hey, Joss! Are you up for a game?” John asks. “Let’s play volleyball!”

“Tomorrow is Leo’s birthday.

I think that he is having a party,” says Muriel.

“Leo! Come play with us!” says Mark.

“A surprise?” asks Clayton. “What is it?”
