Barcelona Meeting Point WELCOME LETTER

BMP 2019 DOUBLES ITS COMMITMENT TO THE CONGRESS’ CONTENTS Barcelona Meeting Point 2019, in its aim to involve itself in the needs and concerns of the citizens, professionals and institutions and, also, to make the implementing of solutions easier for them, is continuously evolving to a strategic approach that means opening its venue and contents even further to the citizenship. BMP is the place to discuss and try to find solutions to the challenges posed by the real estate sector, such as the difficulties that many citizens are facing when trying to access a home - a fundamental right that all people have. BMP, with a solid background of 23 years of experience, brings together in a single venue the strength of the experience with the thrust of youth, which makes this international event an unmissable focus of knowledge for professionals and citizens. The latest innovations and trends in the sector will be present and we will analyze and learn about real estate success stories that are being applied in other cities. Barcelona Meeting Point is undergoing many changes in order to lead the new Spanish real estate sector and further increase its international relevance. That is why this edition concentrates its entire offer in 4 full days of celebration -from Wednesday to Saturday-, intensifying the activity that will take place at the event. At the same time, we have changed our logo highlighting what best defines us: the fact that we

are the meeting point par excellence of the real estate sector. We’ve done it by connecting the fair with Barcelona, a city full of jewels that BMP visitors cannot miss. That is why our logo is inspired by one of the architectural icons, which has undoubtedly marked the structure of the city of Barcelona, making it a reference as an organizational structure model worldwide as in the case of block structures of the Eixample neighborhood defined in the Cerdá Plan. We believe that the real estate industry must make a move towards aspects such as efficiency, sustainability, the search for new materials and the application of smart solutions and new technologies. BMP 2019 will provide the latest innovations and trends in the sector with a specific exhibition area where the most prominent startups will present disruptive solutions that have a direct impact on real estate and are redefining the way in which business is done. At the same time, we are the first real estate fair that has an acceleration program aimed at startups. One of the highlights of this BMP edition will be that it will double its commitment to the BMP Congress. A total of 4 rooms, more than 50 conferences and more than 150 real estate speakers of national and international prestige will analyze and debate in our Congress the industry’s present and future. For this purpose, the BMP Congress will 4

have four major blocks dedicated to trends and innovation in the sector (Innovation & Trends), sustainability and Smart Cities, Proptech and the Mediterranean Real Estate Forum. This last program is a novelty this year and will present a program that will focus on the real estate and urban industry as a fundamental basis for the economic development of the Mediterranean region. BMP 2019, THE GREAT REAL ESTATE MEETING POINT Barcelona Meeting Point’s main objectives are to promote the city internationally, ​​to be a useful tool for all citizens and to boost our country’s economy and business activity, with a special emphasis on strengthening business deals, contacts and knowledge. I honestly believe that we will more than meet all these objectives. Barcelona Meeting Point, as its name implies, will once again become the place to meet with all the real estate players in the industry -companies, institutions, associations, citizens, professionals and so on -who will debate on the present and future challenges that the industry is facing in order to try to find solutions for them. BMP will showcase the main projects that are being developed in our country. But, above all, the BMP Congress will present those projects that are standing out worldwide and that can inspire us to provide solutions for the future, for issues such as guaranteeing all citizens access to a home or achieving that all projects that are being developed are much more energy efficient, more sustainable and environmentally friendly. In this sense, the BMP Congress will analyze models of public-private collaboration in affordable housing and residen-

tial portfolio management. It will show in depth the case of Vienna, a city that possibly has the best social housing policy system and will analyze if this model is applicable and can be valid for a city like Barcelona. But attendees will also learn about other cases such as Dubai, which already has an energy self-sufficient city, or New York city, which has announced that the construction of more glass buildings is now forbidden. The world evolves and our industry adapts itself to it. We’ll be able to learn from all this at Barcelona Meeting Point. BMP 2019 has increased its program of activities aimed to the general public to make a much more attractive exhibition area, going beyond accomplishing the desire to buy or rent a real estate asset and find decoration solutions, refurbishments, energy savings. That is why this year we have launched the new DecoReform Point area, a new space specifically designed to show the supply of companies from the refurbishment, interior design and furniture sectors, both for homes and for offices, commercial premises or buildings. Regarding the program of activities aimed to the public, we will have an entire family area where we intend to have several environments with different activities (such as workshops, areas of interaction

between parents and children, or a competition between architecture students to present a project). We will also hold a furniture auction, where visitors can purchase the furniture displayed at the fair at a discounted price. And we will also raffle 2,000 euros among the audience to reform or decorate their house.

In short, a wide offer that I am sure will meet your expectations. Every afternoon from 6 pm to 7 pm, GODIVA, GRAMONA and VIPSTYLE will organize a tasting courtesy of BMP of their products. The firms will offer chocolate, sweet wine and cava, and ham, to the cluster visitors. Only for visitors with Premium VIP Pass or exhibitors of the Cluster.

The BMP APP: A tool to boost networking The BMP APP is far more interactive to promote networking, contacts and business meetings. All participating companies will be able to contact all the assistants and speakers of the BMP Congress that is held within the fair through an instant messaging system that is incorporated into the 2019 BMP App. Thus, the BMP APP has become a very practical tool to boost networking among the exhibition attendees.

Draw of € 2,000 to be invested in a refurbishment, design or furniture purchase

DecoReform Point, a new area for companies from the sector of refurbishment, interior design and home, commercial premises and building’s furnishings

BMP will conduct a draw of € 2,000 among all the public attending to reform or decorate the house. This prize must be invested in the furniture or renovation services offered by one of the exhibiting companies at the DecoReform Point in Barcelona Meeting Point. This access is open only to those people who have visited Barcelona Meeting Point 2019, filled out a satisfaction survey and accepted access to the draw.

Barcelona Meeting Point has opened in 2019 a new area for restoration, interior design and furniture companies to offer their products to the fair visitors. BMP has tried this way to offer an all-embracing service to both professional and public visitors who want to buy a home or an office and

Salas LAB, much more than a family area Salas inmobiliaria will be presenting at Barcelona Meeting Point 2019 Salas LAB, a space developed in collaboration with Barcelona Meeting Point that aims to serve as a forum to reflect on the future of housing. Located at stand C-318, the Salas LAB is open to everyone, and represents an opportunity for families, professionals, experts and anyone else who is interested in finding out more about the challenges facing housing, to open a debate, contribute ideas and, above all, share their experiences. Suitable for everyone from children to adults, this space is designed so that everyone can take part and contribute their view of what the home of the future will look like. The Salas LAB stand will be split into different areas: An exhibition with information that will help visitors to analyze the current situation and look at the challenges of the future. An area for families where parents and their children can experiment and play with games based around

The Congress Lounge: a new BMP 2019 area The Congress Lounge Area is a cluster-type space where several sponsoring companies have their own “privé” decorated with comfortable designer sofas and coffee tables and where the speakers can prepare their presentations. The Congress “coffee breaks” will be served here and it will be an area for networking among Symposium attendees, speakers, sponsors and their guests.
