Cuándo: 6, 7 y 8 de abril Dónde: Benicàssim (Castellón) La nueva edición de uno de los festivales españoles más destacados de cada temporada reunirá a un conglomerado de artistas y bandas muy atractivo. Phoenix, Leiva, Love of Lesbian, Milky Chance, Viva Suecia, Zahara, Guitarricadelafuente… son las primeras confirmaciones de SanSan Festival 2023. Mucho artista nacional de primer nivel aderezados con nombres internacionales.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

Cuándo: 28 y 30 de abril Dónde: Barcelona, Estadi Olímpic Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band han anunciado su vuelta a los escenarios en 2023. El Boss regresa con una serie de conciertos en estadios estadounidenses, seguidos de una gira europea que arrancará en el Estadi Olímpic Barcelona el 28 de abril para prolongarse durante todo el verano. Es un tour muy esperado, pues desde 2017 no se veía a Springsteen junto a la E Street Band en los escenarios españoles.

Dónde: Teatro de la Maestranza, Sevilla Sobre un marco escénico que rebosa belleza, plasticidad y tensión, la Compañía Antonio Gades, con dirección artística de Stella Arauzo, quien, por cierto, fue su primera protagonista, baila Fuego, un ballet de Antonio Gades y Carlos Saura inspirado en El amor brujo de Manuel de Falla, pareja creativa que dio a la cultura española piezas tan identitarias y emblemáticas como esta o Carmen.

Su obra se despliega a lo largo de todo el siglo XX, comenzando en Viena en el período anterior a la Primera Guerra Mundial. Inspirándose en la vibrante atmósfera de la ciudad, las primeras obras maestras de Kokoschka son radicales en cuanto a motivos y experimentación con el color. “SITUACIONES CONSTRUIDAS” DE RONI HORN

Cuándo: del 1 de abril hasta el 10 de septiembre de 2023 Dónde: Centro Botín, Santander Roni Horn inaugura el calendario de 2023 con una exposición meticulosamente concebida por ella misma en diálogo con los espacios, la arquitectura, la luz y el flujo de visitantes del Centro Botín, y en la que se mostrara una nueva serie de 10 esculturas de vidrio. Comisariada por Bárbara Rodríguez Muñoz, albergará fotografías, esculturas, dibujos y libros, una práctica heterogénea y de orientación conceptual que desafía cualquier tipo de clasificación preestablecida.

RONI HORN'S "CONSTRUCTED SITUATIONS"

Where: Centro Botín, Santander Roni Horn opens the 2023 calendar with an exhibition meticulously conceived by herself in dialogue with the spaces, architecture, light, and the flow of visitors to the Centro Botín, in which a new series of 10 glass sculptures will be shown. Curated by Bárbara Rodríguez Muñoz, will house photographs, sculptures, drawings, and books, a heterogeneous and conceptually oriented practice that defies any kind of pre-established classification.

FALLAS

Fecha: Del 1 al 19 de marzo Dónde: València, varias localizaciones València se vuelca en la celebración de las Fallas, una fiesta declarada Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la Unesco que combina tradición, sátira y arte. El origen se encuentra en una antigua costumbre de los carpinteros que, celebrando la llegada de la primavera, la noche del 19 quemaban frente a sus talleres las piezas de madera (parots) que usaban para elevar los candiles que les iluminaban durante el invierno. Poco a poco, fueron añadiendo a este fuego purificador trastos viejos y harapos, que humanizaron a los parots hasta convertirlos en ninots. El humor de los valencianos pronto otorgó a esos ninots el sentido crítico e irónico que mantienen en la actualidad.

FALLAS

THE HEART OF THE CITY

La plaza mayor es el pálpito de la ciudad. Un lugar vitalista, con variopintos establecimientos cobijados bajo los soportales, mesones, bares, tiendas de antigüedades y ultramarinos, que heredaron un cometido cívico a partir de la ordenanza de los Reyes Católicos, en 1480, que obligó a la ubicación de los ayuntamientos en esos espacios. En España, las muestras de ese elemento popular, diáfano y abierto a todos, encuentra ejemplos memorables en Salamanca, Sevilla, Madrid y Santiago de Compostela.
