Troon Adds Over 30 New Courses Through Two Acquisitions

Troon, a leader in the golf and club hospitality industry, recently announced two separate acquisitions, bringing more than 30 management and consultingservices agreements into its portfolio. The management and/or consulting agreements acquired by Troon include a mix of private clubs, resorts and athletic clubs, including six facilities located in Florida.

On July 5th, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company announced it had acquired Invited’s Management Services business with 18 managed and consultingservices agreements moving to Troon’s world-class managed club portfolio. The strategic move promises to drive enhanced services across all Troon-managed properties. For Invited, the move allows the company to laser focus on growing its industry-leading portfolio of owned and operated golf, business, and sports clubs.

With this alliance, Invited and Troon will introduce a program that allows Invited members to play participating Troon-managed resort and daily fee courses, the perfect complement to Invited’s portfolio of more than 150 clubs and 200 courses. Members of the former Invited Club Management facilities will continue to enjoy Invited’s XLife benefits, playing a network of hundreds of private clubs and renowned resorts.

As part of the Troon/Invited agreement, management teams and all employees at the facilities will remain in their current roles, now supported with additional Troon resources, services, and programs. In addition, Invited Senior Vice President Seth Churi and Regional Vice President Peter Faraone will move to similar positions within Troon, continuing to support the operations at the 18 facilities with the backing of Troon’s resources.

On July 6th and in a completely separate transaction, Troon acquired Applied Golf Management, a New Jersey-based golf and hospitality management company. As part of the acquisition, Troon assumes management of Applied Golf’s portfolio of 13 public and private golf facilities in New York, New Jersey and Florida. Members and guests of Applied Golf-managed facilities will continue to experience the same outstanding service, incredible course conditions and excellent food and beverage options. Current plans call for Applied Golf to continue to maintain its Millstone Township, New Jersey office and all Applied Golf associates will continue to support and manage facilities in the region.

Troon’s acquisition of Applied Golf Management infuses additional support, expertise and resources to benefit current and prospective clients, while growing the company’s portfolio of managed facilities in the Northeast.

“We are excited to welcome these outstanding clubs, their members, management teams and associates to the Troon family,” stated Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz. “We have long respected Invited and Applied Golf’s contributions to our industry.”
