I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Simmental breeders and other interested cattle producers to the Virginia Simmental Association Sim Sensation sale. The Virginia Simmental Association works hard to host a great event for breeders from the state of Virginia as well as consignors and supporters from surrounding states. DP Sales Management is happy to once again be working with the consignors and officers of the association to make this event a success. The cattle market has been at a all time high in recent months, and spring sales have been happening with great success throughout the Southeast. Make sure you mark your calendar to be with us in Harrisonburg on April 19th to continue the spring sale season. First off, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the genetics that are Virginia bred and are making a positive impact in the Simmental industry. The success of the B80, H25, Viidalia and Shickerdoodle and others have been over whelming. The Virginia Simmental Association and their leadership have a few activities this year with the Sim Sensation sale plus along with their friends in North Carolina they jointly will be hosting the Eastern Regionals that will be held in Winston- Salem, NC. It is a great time to be supportive of your state association and get involved with the whole family. We challenge you as parents to get your kids involved in the best junior program around. This state sponsored sale is a great event to get involved in and a great place to select your show prospect for the summer. As you view the catalog there is something for everyone including genetic lots, cow calf pairs, show prospects and bulls ready to go and be instrumental to your breeding program. The offering is strong and is backed by a great group of breeders. We are pleased to work with many faithful consignors however welcome the new participants to this years sale. Come sale week and get to know all the consignors. When making your travel plans, please be sure to be with the Virginia Simmental Association on Thursday evening for the annual membership meeting and dinner.
