Welcome Simmental Breeders! I want to take this opportunity to invite all cattle breeders to the 43rd

Eastern Spring Simmental sale at the Ohio Beef Expo, Saturday, March 15th in Columbus, Ohio. The first thing you should take note of is that we have had a change in sale time. The Simmental Sale will be beginning at 2PM to allow breeders to take in more sales, and to allow our Ohio seed stock breeders to come and check out adding some Simmental genetics to their herds. The Simmental sale at the Ohio Beef Expo is always one of the premier events of the spring. We always have a large turnout of consignors from Ohio and surrounding states that are interested in promoting their genetics at this event. The breeders consist of some past faithful consignors and many new ones however the quality remains strong at the Ohio Beef Expo. This year’s sale is highlighted by two of the winningest females not only in Ohio but across the country at the major shows. The Watson family is offering genetics out of the North American champion, H/B Little Monster and the Scheiderer and Phelps families are offering a flush out the National Western Jr show champion, NPC Miss Lucky Gal. This is just two of the start of a star studded genetic lineup. It is really good as you can get in any sale. The Simmental scene in Ohio is always changing, and we always welcome those new promoters of Simmental genetics to the sale. As you can see the Expo sale continues to be a great place to select your next herdsire with a great selection of both purebreds and SimAngus. The opportunity for commercial, club calf, and purebred breeders to select their next herdsire, that meets the standards of today’s industry at the expo is stronger than ever. The sale offering includes elite show prospects, functional breds, and top genetic lots consisting of both embryos and pregnancies. The diverse offspring consists of purebreds and SimAngus. As you view the catalog we have many special and unique lots; you make the selection of what is best for your program. Don’t forget to come early and take in all the events at the Ohio Beef Expo such as the many breed sales, the trade show, educational seminars, genetic pathway, junior heifer and steer shows and most importantly the 43nd Eastern Spring Simmental sale. Saturday at the Ohio Beef Expo is always buzzing with cattle breeders taking in the sights and sounds of the Expo. Come and spend the day at the Expo and find yourself at the Simmental Sale at 2PM. If you have any questions regarding any of the sale lots I encourage you to visit with the consignors. The Ohio Simmental Association has a lot of support from its members and we are happy to work with Tim Brinkman and Pam Haley for the sale. Please contact them if they can be of any assistance to you. Please contact DP Sales if Drew, Holli, or myself can be of any assistance as you look through your catalog. As always, we look forward to visiting with you at the 43nd Eastern Spring Simmental Sale! Remember for some reason you can’t attend the sale be bidding online at liveauctions.tv sign up early!

• Selling 3 embryos guaranteeing 1 pregnancy if work is performed by a certified embryologist. • This is a definite sale highlight at the Ohio Beef Expo. Little Monster has been a good one all year long no matter what show she was attending or whether the numbers large or small. Monster always seemed to be in the thick of things and claimed top awards at all the shows. At the prestigious North American, Monster walked on the green shavings and won the hearts of many spectators again and claimed Grand Champion honors. This beautiful female is super sound with maternal written in large print. Monster calved in February with an impressive calf by One Eyed Jack. Little Monster’s quality and exceptional phenotype make her a perfect candidate for embryo transplant to many leading sires in the industry today. This Elan daughter is backed by Savvy donor, Poker Face and Antoinette 6104S. At the Expo you have the opportunity to purchase embryos by the champion, Broker. We are proud to own such a female and will definitely limit the embryos available for sale. Selling three embryos guaranteeing one pregnancy. Some great genetics!

• Selling 5 embryos to a mutually agreed bull. If the buyers want to flush to STF Elan we will happily supply the semen at no cost. Of course, they would be full sister to the champion, Little Monster. • Several years ago we had an opportunity to purchase the small herd of Schick Cattle Co. We acquired some great genetic and cow families however one of the best was CNS Antoinette 6104S, a daughter of Antoinette K205. Many champions, sale toppers and bull studs are descendants of K205. In a short period of time the 6104S showed her stuff and stood out big time. In a short period of time she produced a champion for Katie Linhart. Of course, the main attraction has been Little Monster. If anyone that is serious about breeding elite show stock and genetics to add to a new or existing program then this is a no brainer. • Selling flush to an agreed bull by buyer and seller. Buyer gets the first 6 embryos and splits after 6. Buyer gets even number eggs after 6 • Lucky Gal has always demanded attention like she did at the Genetic Perfection sale at the start of her career. This female has been one of the popular females of the 2013-2014 show season shown by Audrey Scheiderer. This female has been to many shows and claimed Reserve Champion at the Ohio State Fair, Reserve Grand at the American Royal, Champion in the Jr show at the North American and Champion at the Jr show at the National Western just to name a few. Lucky Gal “ Maxie” is one of the six full sisters we have working for us in the Phelps Farms program. We believe in the N42 cow just like Dave Zeis. What a cow and her production record. It is easy to see what a female like this can do, we have the proof thru the family. Lucky Gal is calving in February and will go into embryo transplant afterwards. Phelps Farm and Scheiderer Farm is offering a flush on this many time champion. Selling a flush on a mutual agreed bull , buyer gets first six embryos and split embryos after six. Buyer gets even number of embryos after six. It’s great to be lucky and good. Contact Dale Phelps for any details on the flush.

• Selling 5 embryos guaranteeing 2 pregnancies to the bull of buyers choice if work is performed by a certified embryologist. • LLSF Keepsake was the highlight donor in the Denver sale at the National Western. This baldie donor was a crowd favorite and commanded $ 30,000. Keepsakes dam, JBS Rockin Robin is one of the most profitable and attractive halfblood cows in the business. A full sister to Keepsake raised the 2013 North American champion bull, LLSF Pays to Believe. The baldie donor is a past AJSA bred and owned champion and has already produced some top selling heifers. At Greenhorn Cattle Co. and Wilson Farms we selected this donor to because of her cow family and producing ability. We feel great about the future of this superior breeding piece. Keepsake is due to calve in April however we wanted to share some genetics in this event. Selling 5 embryos guarantee 2 pregnancies to mutual agreed bull by buyer and Greenhorn Cattle Co. We purchased Zany from Chip and Debbie Tice when they dispersed their herd. Even today at the age of 10 she looks the look of youthful and powerful! There is no other genetics in the Simmental breed that comes close to the Power Drive genetics. She flushes well and average over 10 embryo’s per flush. Her progeny of Trademark and Trademark sons are fantastic. Valerie and I are offering this flush to the bull of your choice but, as an expo feature we will provide sexed semen at no cost on our High Mark/Trademark son. We are guaranteeing six transferable eggs with a top of ten. Any embryo’s over 10 will be split with the buyer and seller. • Selling 3 embryos guaranteeing 1 pregnancy out of Yardley High Regard and Uprising if work is performed by a certified embryologist. • Wow, what an opportunity! We have offered a limited number of embryos at public auction from Dana, but each time they have been in high demand and high sellers. In each of the last three Sim Magic on Ice auctions, embryos from Dana have commanded $1,200-$1,300/embryo…and for good reason. Her daughters have all been sale toppers, averaging over $11,400 on opens and $6,800 on breds. Many of those females went on to have impressive show careers and/or are in respected Simmental Breeders’ ET programs across the country. A homo polled and homo black daughter of the immortal HC Power Drive and JM BF H25, Dana is part of a powerful, predictable and profitable family that is making a big impact in our breed. We are offering two very special and exciting matings for this sale. Yardley High Regard is the ultra-hot bull producing high dollar offspring that are collecting banners on a national level. These embryos were produced with sexed heifer semen (not IVF) and should be just the ticket for more outstanding Dana daughters. LLSF Uprising, the $146,000 high selling baldy bull that ignited so much excitement in Denver this year that the owners sold over $120,000 worth of semen in the Sim Magic on Ice sale; however no more semen will be sold this year. Either mating should be fantastic. Take advantage of this terrific opportunity….these calves might be her best yet! Selling three (3) embryos from each mating, guaranteeing one pregnancy per set, if implantation is performed by a certified embryologist. • Selling 3 embryos guaranteeing 1 pregnancy if work is performed by a certified embryologist. • JS Untouchable 21U X SVF Steel Force S701 Opportunity is knocking who will answer the door? Untouchable has become an elite donor in the Simmental breed. Her first ET progeny sold the fall 2011 at the High Standard sell- commanding prices of $35,000 –RS&T Can’t Touch This and $30,500-RS&T Unbeatable Y32 out of Optimus Prime. With the consistency of Steel Force, the sire of Optimus Prime, this mating should produce their new owners unbelievable individuals either bull or heifer. When we purchased Untouchable in the fall of 2009, selling half of her at the 2013 NWSS “The One Sale” for $25,000, we believed she could be a great donor and she continues to confirm that belief everyday. Check out the planned mating EPD’s and the phenotype of the dam and sire this is a win, win mating that will take your program into the future at the forefront of the Simmental breed. This is the first time we have offered this mating and the success of this pedigree in Ohio we felt like this was the best place to consign these embryos.

liked Z739W so well last year as a yearling we decided to keep him to service our own cows. So far this year we are very pleased with the results. His calves have come light with lots of vigor we used him on heifers and cows and have not had a calf bigger than 70 pounds out of our heifers yet. Z739W is stout, deep, smooth fronted, has great foot and leg structure underneath him and has electric hair which you do not find on simmental bulls very often let alone a 2 year old. He is a nice numbered bull and is ready to breed cows immediately. The one and only reason we have decided to let this great herdsire go is because his dam happens to be very consistent and we have a full brother to Z739W that we will use to replace him. Dont miss out on the opportunity to purchase this very complete package.

• Birth Wt. 79 lbs. • Lookin Up is a fancy fall halfblood open heifer. She is an ET heifer out

our donor cow Tradin Up, (who is pictured) out of the infamous Burn it Up cow, and the popular Angus bull BC Lookout. We have a couple full sisters in the herd who are turning into some really nice cows, all with really good personalities. Lookin Up is clean fronted and deep bodied, and looks to become an all around soggy easy keeping cow like her sisters. Whether you want to show her or make her a cow, she won’t disappoint. Calf hood vaccinated.

a Remington Red Label HR son, out of our favorite red STF Desa Rae daughter, who produces consistent, quality calves every year. Her dam goes back to a female we purchased from Wayne Klein and she was one of the first Hooks Pacesetter 8P daughters to be sold. Don’t miss out on this young heifer, which could have a two year show career that is backed by powerful red cow families. 43rd Eastern Spring Simmental Classic

• Selling 5 –10 units of sexed heifer semen. 50 units total • Pays to Dream is a proven sire. He continues to sire the kind of quality

needed to succeed in the show ring and then continue that success in the pasture. Many Pays To Dream progeny have been sales toppers and past champions in the past years. Pays To Dream passed on his great disposition and overall completeness. His Power Drive dam is a good one and her influence is strong in the pedigree. Semen is limited this spring breeding season so the Ohio Beef Expo is a great venue to add his genetics. Its pays to pay attention. Consignor:
